I received notice today that the landscape version of my photograph “Sullivan Falls” was selected for the month of June 2009 for a calendar. There were nearly 3500 photos submitted for the 6th annual contest held by a financial instutition in our area. / This is the 6th photo of mine they have selected. My first photo ever published was through this contest in the year 2004. Out of the 6 wins, 2 were selected for the cover( grand prize). One of those years I not only won grand prize but also the month of July. My pride became greatest last year ( although the publication is for the 2008 calendar) I won the cover and my 13 yr. old son had his turkey photo selected for the month of Nov. I hold the record for the most total wins, most covers (2)and the only Mother & Son winners. / The calendar is quite popular each year and I’ve been come somewhat of a celebrity as a result. Each year the competition becomes harder so I need to also give credit to other photogs who have given me advice…....you know who you are! / Molly

That’s my prediction. Set up our calendars now , and within the next few months (if not sooner, and I hope it is), Redbubble will start converting them to the 2010 months. We can make it happen. Yes, we can! Why am I saying this? Calendars make fantastic Christmas gifts! / So I want Redbubble to make the change NOW. My clients and I need to be able to purchase long before Christmas, thus being able to post/deliver to the recipient. I have started promoting calendars already, so I eagerly (and patiently) await the format-change to our calendars!

Two amazing events occurred this month. The first was my adorable grandson Gabriel attending school for the first time. Such a momentous occasion for a child and indeed his/her parents, not to mention me, his Nana Dee Dee. I made a special trip, just so I could be there when he finished his first day. So, with smarties and a racing car in tow I made his day, and he made mine when later that night he took his car to bed with him… :-) And the second was… sorry to keep you waiting… ;) / I finally stepped into my genius and became self-employed!!! A momentous occasion for me I have to say. However, I decided that I would do well to practice what I preach… So having taken my courage in both hands, I grabbed the bull by the balls (or should that be horns… both a little Freudian I believe) and dived in so to speak! My insanity intact but on hold until further notice… ;) My wonderful and most compelling and captivating work is now available for sale via Redbubble, should you wish your dwelling place to become enchanted by the presence of my essence… I am also available for commissions and currently hold the originals should you wish to purchase them.
