This great horned owl drew me straight into the depths of his amazing eyes… Until he got annoyed with me; then he gave me this look. Priceless. :) This was taken at Homosassa Springs State Park in Homosassa Springs, Florida. 100% of the profits from the sale of this print will be donated to the American Bird Conservancy.

This picture will be displayed from the 27th of March to the 9th of June at Federation Square in the Top Arts exhibition, so check it out! / It’s of a cactus, a species called the Tiny Dancers, probably because the little horn looking things look like little people dancing. By decreasing the exposure and increasing the contrast I could emphasize the horn looking things. It also made it harder to realize what it actually is, which I think is important if your considering the someones engagement with the photograph- it adds a mystique to it.

I took this shot of a very hazardous stretch of coastline on the very southern tip of Newfoundland just below a lighthouse. The winds were so high that day and the sea was whipped into such a boiling cauldron, my imagination was taken away. As I stood there and watched I could almost visualize a ghost ship emerging from the fog, the lighthouse that stood just above me was blowing its foghorn which added a sense of eerieness to the already somber scene. The winds lashed at me attempting to pluck me into the sea as a offering of peace for disturbing this epic battle between land and sea. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

A richly symbolic image depicting the Celtic ‘Horned God’ Cerne or Cernunnoss in passionate embrace with his consort, The Goddess. Cerne is traditionally Lord of the Animals and The Goddess is generally associated with the ‘Sacred Forest’ of all life on Earth. The forest, however, needs animals to spread the seeds and pollenate the flowers., and the animals need the forest to provide food and shelter. As such, neither can survive without the other. The union of Cerne and The Goddess ensures the continuity of all life on Earth. All of my artworks are executed in handmade papers and organic materials from the rainforests of Northern NSW, Australia. As such, they not only represent our union with the earth symbolically, but also physically as objects in their own right.
