To-day it was Catriona and my Wedding Anniversary so we decided to do what we love doing best and that was going for a long drive through the Mourne Mountains we spent the day going to all our favourite spots all bathed in glorious sunshine we went for dinner about 5 and then back into the mountains ,we ended up at Spelga dam and watched the sun go down from here and the view above was the last rays of the sun as it dissapeared behind the mountain ,My Anniversary Sunset a perfect end to a wonderfull day!!!

Why does God insist on doing these paintings on the mornings I was hoping to sleep in? It was 6:45 am when I discovered that the sunrise was going to be a beauty. Once you know it’s there, it’s not the kind of thing you can sleep through unless you at least try to get a few shots of it, first. This shot is straight from the camera. LavenderMoon~

I called this ‘HDR Sunrise’ because that was what it was!!! An amazing sight. I’ve tweaked it a bit to enhance the colours and remove some of the blue colour cast but the original tells the tale…. This time nature did the HDR – not me!! / Corio Bay in Geelong just before sunrise on a rare (lately) still morning. / Taken with my Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 12-24mm wide-angle lens
