Oil om canvas, 20” x 16”. The scene is on the Greek Island of Zakynthos. A car ride through the lush valley on a winding road provided some worthwhile views. This dog peered out over the road, apparently at home alongside the olive tree, which is obviously hundreds of years old and still producing a worthy crop of fruit. THa pair of them struck me as two life partners who were watching, on guard for their domain.

This is the Sedlec Ossuary or Bone Church in Kutna Hora, Prague. A very eerie place and an incredible feat of engineering making all sorts of things out of human bones.
