The Angel of the North probably one of the most photographed works of public art in the north of England if not the country as a whole. I felt it required a fresh view and as Easter was fast approaching and the word Angel being Hebrew for messenger I thought an artistic take would be to re-create the crucifixion scene for a modern day audience. This is three images combined to make this scene.

this is spanish moss…....... it always reminds me of the thorns on the crown of Jesus .. captured in my yard.. fort Myers, Florida / cropped and sharpened to bring out the shadows and bokeh “Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. I made this for all of the families feeling desperate right now due to economic hardships…so many people losing their jobs, their homes….everyday life as they once knew it. My husband has to take a job away from home – and he leaves tomorrow….three weeks out of each month, gone…. and it just is heart wrenching…. / This picture comes from my heart and what I’m feeling right now. I know I should be grateful he has work – because without the job, we lose everything. :( / Yet…it’s so sad to watch my children miss their daddy – and of course, me too… Anyway – enough rambling… love to all of you… Claudia

Moore / and myself for the group , Resurrection of the Exquisite Corpse _There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. / If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. verses . 40-44of Corinthians Chapter 15 An Explanation of how this is done a tough one for sure, this is what we had to do. This work is a work where you take *one inch only of someones work and “make a picture to tie into that one inch” I made the whole first picture, and then sent her through email , one inch of it. / here is what she saw.. she then did the bottom half of what you see, I then sent her through email the top half and I did complete top half. she then Blended in the works to erase some of the horizontal distractions.. this is my complete picture, which I will share at another time F.A. “Angels we have heard on high / Sweetly singing o’er the plains, / And the mountains in reply / Echoing their joyous strains. / Gloria, in excelsis Deo! / Gloria, in excelsis Deo!” This is the angel from our family’s Fontanini Nativity set. The texture layers really transformed the original image. The new image now looks like an antique fresco-perhaps something from a Vatican ceiling. The textures also added the dramatic “old Hollywood” lighting to the background. With all the craziness and insanity in today’s world we can never have too many angels in our lives.
