The lightness of being is represented to me most poignantly in the pale yellow petals of the lotus blossom suspended elegantly above the dark murky waters of life. /
I have been working on a series of abstracts and patterns during a rather rough time. It has been great focusing on a small palette of colours. I chose what I think of as colours of hope—yellow for sunlight and brightness – green for new growth. This is hopes flower.
I have been trying to put together a series of optimistic abstracts almost as a form of self therapy I guess. I chose Yellow for the sunlight and Green for new growth – colours I think well matched with Hope. Joy I think is most profound when it runs in harmony with your hopes. This abstrasct aims to show a burst of joy that interacts smoothly with hope.
And as we fly around the sun / We know we’re not the only ones / Love for the lonely / It’s been a long time coming / ~Happiness (The Weepies)

I had a request from a Particularly Precious Princess to offer this piece along with my Words. I thought it might be nice to have them as a Part of the Art rather than simply inside a card--soooooo—here it is. I hope you like it and I hope it is an even Greater Blessing to all who take the time to FEEL what is being said. Breaking Through Her little world was twisted and broken / The word family became distorted and blurred / Her beautiful little mind became her playground / One day she reached through her fractured pain / The hope drew her to touch that other side / Creativity became her best of friends / Imagination is her greatest treasure / The very act of creation is her place of peace XXXX, / Dale

Digital painting after a vision. God once said, “Let the light shine out of the darkness!” This is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts by letting us know the glory of God that is in the face of Christ. / 2 Corinthians 4:6 (New Century Version)
