The Angel of the North probably one of the most photographed works of public art in the north of England if not the country as a whole. I felt it required a fresh view and as Easter was fast approaching and the word Angel being Hebrew for messenger I thought an artistic take would be to re-create the crucifixion scene for a modern day audience. This is three images combined to make this scene.

In 2006, I was in a deep depression, unable to work, I had given up my art work, I thought for good. The Lord being who He is (you know what he is like when he loves you!) Gave me, what I call an “art” word. In which both the image and the poem were created in my spirit simultaneously. This is the only “art” word I have ever received, But what a word. It sustained me with hope and strength to go on! I wrote the poem down that night, but it would be 6 months before I was able to even attempt to draw the vision with which it was conceived with. God is good, and he loves us. (period) Nail Scarred Feet / My steps so new and wobbly, / Uncertain with wavering gait. / Each step unchartered, / Each sway unchecked, / Unsure I stand and wait / “Follow me,” he beckons, / With arms extended wide. / “Ill hold you steadfast and / Guide you in each stride / From the darkest of valleys, / Unto the mountain peaks.” / All the while my spirit soaring / As I stand-upon / His nail scarred feet

Today I spoke to our mission center in kujama. this Little girl is called Hope, and she was left outside our mission center late last week. Nobody knows where she came from. We are keeping her at the center for as long as we can. Hope is what here name is and she is very very ill. After a medical examination We found that Hope had been brutally beaten, and there were signs of sexual abuse. She also has Malaria. Please Please pray for her. We need a miracle now. Please pray and if you can make a donation, no matter how small to get her the treatment she needs, it will save her life. / I have informed the Mission Center to do what they can. I have today sent all that I could to help short term. My Inspiration and passion for these precious children is born from a heart of love that God has given me. every day I weep in prayer for them. We can do so much more to help. Pray that we do that which we can. I made this for all of the families feeling desperate right now due to economic hardships…so many people losing their jobs, their homes….everyday life as they once knew it. My husband has to take a job away from home – and he leaves tomorrow….three weeks out of each month, gone…. and it just is heart wrenching…. / This picture comes from my heart and what I’m feeling right now. Moore / and myself for the group , Resurrection of the Exquisite Corpse _There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. / If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. verses . 40-44of Corinthians Chapter 15 An Explanation of how this is done a tough one for sure, this is what we had to do. This work is a work where you take *one inch only of someones work and “make a picture to tie into that one inch” I made the whole first picture, and then sent her through email , one inch of it. / here is what she saw.. she then did the bottom half of what you see, I then sent her through email the top half and I did complete top half. she then Blended in the works to erase some of the horizontal distractions.. this is my complete picture, which I will share at another time F.A.
