Captured using a Minolta 7000 with a 28 – 75mm using Fuji 35mm film. Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. This image was selected for exhibition at this years (May 2007) Churchie National Emerging Art Exhibition, affectionately known as the “Churchie”. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image will be on display and for sale at the Strathcona Art show 7th – 9th September 2007 at Tay Creggan in Hawthorn. / The image will be presented framed, matted & signed. Hope
by Hena TayebThis was a fun picture to take and I took several pictures before I got this one perfect, where the flame was infact a flame and not a blur or a streak, where the fingers were visible, where the surrounding balck was as black as it could be. Now I didn’t want the house to catch on fire so we set this shot up in the bathroom sans towels. My brother sat with a box of matches and I with my camera, he would strike a match and hold it steady while i took the shot. Match after match was stu=ruck, some burned to fast making him drop it while others hardly burned at all. But often it’s the time you put into a shot that makes it all the more important to you. It was a shot I shared with my brother that makes it all the more special. /

There are all the colours of the rainbow in this piece, to remind us that there is always hope, no matter how hopeless it seems sometimes. The rainbow is a sign of hope. Children See/Children Do powerful message for grownups I hope that all the children who look at this painting will drift off into a faraway place in their imagination and feel wonderful for a while, especially if things are getting them down…and if life is wonderful, may this little picture add to the wonder and spark the imagination.
