This picture of a lovely laughing child was taken some years ago now while I was driving out from Meekathara in the WA central desert on my way towards the Gun Barrel Highway. At a tiny camp called Wiluna I stopped to look for some art and come across this family sitting in their car in the shade. This child’s sweet face has stayed with me all this time but today, this momentus day, is the first time I’ve felt like I could display it. Little Debbie and her family are impoverished by anyones standard but they clearly have love and strong family bonds. This child represents what we that is we white Australians are saying sorry for. Sorry that we couldn’t see value in our fellow Australians. The first settlers here in this wide brown land. Sorry that we took little children away from their family and their country and people. Only a relatively short time ago this child and her mother would have fled at my approach fearing my whiteness and the dreadful things we whites perpetrated upon them in the name of the law. So from the bottom of my heart Debbie I would like to say Sorry. Sorry Sorry indeed I am very sorry. And I hope that now we can all go on together in peace and trust and mutal respect. My contribution for the Agent Provocateur Challenge. / The year: 2258 / This design is a symbol of the post apocalyptic era. Purpose driven war has given way to war for the sake of war. The land’s have suffered irrevocable trauma and humankind is on the brink of extinction. Man’s only hope is seek solitude in the only region left unspoiled by the Great War, the depths of the Sea. Underwater colonization could act as savior to the Human race. My design is a play on the “Dove and the Olive Branch.” The dove holding the Olive branch symbolizes hope when all hope was lost, a peace in the midst of turmoil. My design is a Guppy (fish) holding a strand of Kelp. The fish holding a strand of kelp symbolizes the hope for mankind that waits for him beneath the waters, a new frontier untouched by war.

My origami calendar / / Just one sheet makes a big difference; / One sheet that can make over 2000 cranes. / Each crane a step closer to a better world; / Each piece a step closer to peace. Each square in the grid paper is 5×5mm; and to be exact, there were 2028 full squares in the paper When I was in grade 5 our teacher read “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes” to our class. Sadako Sasaki was infected with leukemia. She spent her days folding cranes and making wishes upon them; wishing for her health and for a more peaceful world (the quote above is my writing inspired by the story of the thousand paper cranes). This concept was originally created in 2008, and photographed without a tripod. But now I have a tripod and decided to re-shoot this again and re-uploaded it on September 6, 2009. Hope Is the Thing With Feathers Collaboration between Isa Rodriguez and F.A. Moore, / combines similar images created by the artists separately, and at different dates, with no knowledge of the other. The likeness was so uncanny, they simply needed to be married in one piece. The separate elements are Bird Comfort by Rodriguez and Rain-I by Moore. Poem by Emily Dickenson. This work is my variation of the original. Please see F.A. Moore’s original of this collaborative work “here is my Story with this .. I had not felt it was truly mine until I layered it with another photo of mine, actually it is layered with one of my versions of a fractal I had played with a while back , one I loved especially when my cousin, Iris’, whose husband fell in love with it and sort of helped me name it “Twin Twisters. He had never appreciated art before, but started to a bit, while Iris was learning a few ropes on Rb, and spending time looking at photographs and reading the different writings. that original is here / Here are the details of the two images* / Bird Comfort Rain I* / / The way I see this : at the beginning of life, we are divinely cute, potentially everything, love to be seen and hear, clear as a bell, but sometimes dumber than dirt. albeit . sooooo good looking ..we are innocent, we are absorbing, we also love to be heard, and like to experiment and make some big booboos.. profound color, emotions galore, puberty … hot , cold , where do we go , hurt, pain, its bigger than everything .. , everything is important we think, what we say is important , what we are doing is oh so good isnt it ?? then we enter the error of a bit of doubts, and responsibilities, but we do have a style.. we even twirl our words, to make them sound better, and we can bend the rules, and we are working , and we are lonely sometimes, oh , we are so confused… but sometimes a bit content .. but mostly not, we wear our face well, but we see what is there.. and though we perch quite proudly , we feel something is missing.. .. in the middle of our careers, we are not content , but dont know how to stop the crazy machine we are on when we approach our later years, years which we are sure wont last too long.. we are fading in our bodies, but our mind .aaaaaaaah, clear as a bell sometimes , more than ever.. we are content in not being seen so much , but , some people know we have some wisdom .. we dont care what people think of us so much anymore.. we ar perched up higher, for we live to observe more. and listen more ..and also we are aware of the grass on the other side. we are ready more and more to go to the real green grass, our final home, and we wonder allot about the days gone by , and we do worry about some things. but we let things happen more, and not feel we must interfere, we know better, things tend to work out in their own way .. we ache for a young body at times, we feel we have even lost some body parts along the way .. what happened to all of our hair .. what happened to all of our skin tones ?. oh but now those wrinkles on our hands. how beautiful they can be…. aaaah , if people only knew .. how much heartache would they not have to endure. but our voice is low.. people must seek our advice. we wont do the speeches so much anymore , hence the text must be low tones, barely visible except up close lol. you can clearly see what stage I am in with this explanation dont you ?? :))
