  • Oil ~ 16×20 stretched canvas. Sepia – 2 colors only: white & burnt umber Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist… Electric, Delta, Country and Detroit Blues. He had his own brand of blues. Guitarist and modern urbanized country blues singer, with roots in the rich Delta tradition. He was the son of a sharecropper and spare-time preacher, William, and his wife Minnie. JLH (August 22, 1917 – June 21, 2001) was one of eleven children. His desire to sing and play the blues came from his mother’s 2nd marriage to a sharecropper and spare-time blues singer, William Moore.

  • Let’s be clear about this! I passed this sign up and went back. Couldn’t believe it; but it was on BOTH sides of the reader board. Our town has twenty-seven motels in a five mile strip and often hosts nationally promoted motorcycle and vintage car events. This sign must have worked, their parking lot was jammed in spite of the “Vacancy” notice.

  • Went on an ederhostel trip to the waterfalls of the Northwest corner of South Carolina, took a bunch of pictures, did a lot of walking. Taken with a Nikon D70 on October 17, 2008.

  • I never did get around to posting all my autumn shots….so here’s another one…there’s a huge group of photogs all massed across the other side, trying to jostle for position on shifting reed beds and yuckky mud, and further across there’s a couple more. I gave up waiting over that side, and moved to the western edge to see what I could see…..now you can see what I could see :) This was processed in NZ with photomatix, back when I was probably a little overwhelmed by the colour….I might reprocess it and see if I like it better with my newer techniques New Zealand / Seascapes / Frogs / Lensbaby / Infrared / Industrial / Spam / Panorama / Landscapes / Real Estate Series / People

  • Mt Cook towering over the Hooker Valley in the Aoraki National Park, New Zealand. Part of the Aoraki UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taken on a Nikon D50 on a gloriously sunny October day in 2008.
