I adore the Hong Kong cityscape – there are these awesome buildings that are literally stacked against eachother, each building with its own intricate building block formation, stacked upon itself, interconnecting and forming the huge picture that is the Hong Kong cityscape. The use of repetition is expansive and seems to go on forever – gotta love that! There is also this futuristic component that exists in the architecture as well as industry poking through. Mmmmm industry….

Proof that I do in fact take photos with people in them (sometimes). This is the reflection from a passing bus at the intersection of Nathan Rd and Argyle St, Mongkok, Hong Kong. had to crop the original right down to get this image, so unfortunately file size is rather small, but I quite like the effect here, so I figured I’d upload it.

I wished my 350D had see-through capability. Now the mountains that beseige this spectacular city make this shot look like it’s in a bowl. It costed us HKD15 to get on the platform to get this view. Whatever happened to the free stuff in this world nowadays? / - – - / Taken at the Peak, Hong Kong. It felt like 5C up there, I swear. / / MORE WORKS FROM MY PORTFOLIO /
This is some sort of building. With lights. I did something with both the exposure and the aperture, but I forget what. No after processing, oh, except a crop.

I just came back from a last minute two week business trip to Hong Kong. Only had a few chances to take the camera out and usually only at night. This is the first weeks effort. Read the last description. I’m not in a cut and paste mood.
These 3 tall office buildings are government offices in the Wan Chai/Causeway Bay region of Hong Kong – Revenue Tower on the left, Immigration Tower on the Right and Wanchai Tower in the middle.
Tian Tan Buddha at Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island off the Hong Kong Airport, is an imposing sight. This 85 feet bronze statue is the world’s tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha. In its presence, one is dwarfed not just in stature, but in true understanding and perception of life and universe. The spectacular view of Hong Kong Island, Central and Wan Chai areas.
This shot was taken a few years back during our trip to China. Hong Kong is a great city. I’m not much of a city fan, but there is something magic about Hong Kong and I tried to bring home a little of that magic. Also available as wallpaper
The Tian Tan Buddha appears serene and dignified. His right hand is raised, representing the removal of affliction. His left hand rests on his lap in a gesture of giving (dhana). The Buddha faces north which is unique among the great Buddha statues. (All others face South.) I’m not a very religious person, but I need to know where my religious background stands in my family. This place was definitely the eye opener. How do they even carry all the 250 tonne bronze to make a 34 metre high statue up there?! A remarkable achievement.
