  • Can happen to many office people, that you wish it was already five pm, killing the time with the tools available on your desktop. Best demonstrated in the opening scene of the movie About Schmidt, where Jack Nicholson plays a man waiting till its five, after that moment he is retired and not coming back in the office for work anymore. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good! And some others…

  • Beautiful hands flirting with keys :)) Those hands belong to a beautiful Australian independent artist, Lissa Kathe, based in Armidale, NSW, who flew the planet to join us for Christmas in Shetland. My eyes and lens caught music at finger level. I attempted to catch their movement… Sepia [light] added to the atmosphere.

  • I thought this would be a nice card to illustrate the old cliche, “A woman’s work is never done,” and to honor women everywhere who work hard at home, on the job, within the family circle, in the community, in the church, in public service. This energetic little Eastern bluebird female exemplifies an honorable work ethic in her diligence at nest-building. (Note the bedraggled look of poor little Mama’s feathers; temperatures were in the 90s and she was really feeling the heat and humidity! Just about the same concept as a housewife sweating over the stove or the ironing board!)

  • Poetically, Man Dwells
    by Kristin Reynolds

Roots / blinding their twists / to vapors / binding their home / to roots / winding themselves / to death. It wasn’t always this way… / d…

This poem came about after reading from Heidegger’s, Poetry, Language, Thought. / There is a section titled: Poetically Man Dwells, which is taken from a poem by: Holderlin with the same title. / Basically, Heidegger is saying that man is born a poetic creature – with a full house; seeing the world poetically, living his own life, a natural poet – words to page or not. / But upon growing, living, ”...our dwelling is harassed by work (for another), made insecure by the hunt for gain and success, bewitched by the entertainment and recreation industry.” etc… there is much more I could quote, but, basically he is saying that in today’s world, there is not much room left in one’s house for living as we were intended… / ”...poetry does not fly above and surmount the earth in order to escape it, and hover over it…poetry is what first brings man onto the earth, making him belong to it, and thus brings him into the dwelling.” / Thank goodness for RedBubble, where so many still find time to fill up their houses.
