When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow / When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still / And I see the sinner seek devotion / The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees / -“Devotion” by Hillsong United Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. -Romans 12:1 Stock Credits: / Woman by fantasystock.deviantart.com/

Nandi is the bull which Siva rides and the gate keeper of Siva and Parvati in Hindu mythology. Temples venerating Siva and Parvati display stone images of a seated Nandi, generally facing the main shrine. There are also a number of temples dedicated solely to Nandi. /
Beverley Minster, East Yorkshire, UK. Beverley Minster, in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire is a parish church in the Church of England. It is generally regarded as the most impressive (architecturally speaking) church in England that is not a cathedral. / Originally a collegiate church, it was not selected as a bishop’s seat during the Dissolution of the Monasteries; nevertheless it survived as a parish church, and the chapter house was the only major part of the building to be lost. It is part of the Greater Churches Group and a Grade 1 Listed building. / The Minster owes its origin and much of its subsequent importance to St John of Beverley, who founded a monastery locally around 700 AD and whose bones still lie beneath a plaque in the nave. The institution grew after his death and underwent several rebuildings. After a serious fire in 1188, the subsequent reconstruction was overambitious; the newly heightened central tower collapsed c. 1213 bringing down much of the surrounding church. Work on the present structure began around 1220. ~ Wikipedia Samsung GX20, Tamron 24-105mm lens @ f22.

The revolving door entrance into St Paul’s cathedral may be a modern necessity, but all who enter face this sign to recall them to the purpose and intent of this wonderful building ~ more than a mere tourist attraction but a holy place of worship. / One of the highlights of our travels through England and a tiny taste of Scotland, was to attend a Sunday morning service at the Cathedral. No tourist event this as hundreds came to worship; to find or rediscover the meaning of this iconic Christian church. Monument erected with an effigy of John and Isobel SULLY, probably erected in the 1390’s. It was originally placed in the North Transept but was moved to the end of the South Choir Aisle, the Collegiate Church of the Holy Cross and the Mother of Him who hung thereon, Crediton, Devon during the mid 17th Century. My first attempt at this sort of thing! I have to confess to adding the rays in photoshop! I thought it may add a certain je ne sais quoi! Nikon D40 18-55mm
The rear view of Collegiate Church of the Holy Cross and the Mother of Him who hung thereon, Crediton, Devon It’s actually quite hard fitting this church into any shot! It’s too big! This is a portion of the front of the church, I took this last week, but wasn’t really happ about how it turned out. A view down the nave, into the tower, chancel and lady chapel. South choir aisle.
