It is said that to see Mt Fuji on a clear day is a rare thing and on our one and only day in this area we got very lucky with some perfect conditions. Clear skies and not a breath of wind. This particular location is renowned for the ‘diamond view’ that can be seen of this beautiful mountain.

So this was the view we woke up to every morning from our lovely studio apartment in Abriachan, Scotland. This shot was about 9.30 in the evening. The sky darkened for more rain as did the foreground but it was so beautifully lit on the mountains and gave us a slight rainbow to gaze over. In the dip between the trees and mountains and out of sight was Loch Ness. I hope you like the photo and thank you so much for viewing my work, please call back again soon. I took this image on the way back from the Maryhill Mansion in Washington State. / We were making a shortcut along Dalles Rd, and stumbled on this beautiful old protected ranch with Mt Hood in the distance. / This old dwelling was in a paddock just a little further on from the ranch. / The Columbia River can be seen in the valley below.. taken with a Panasonic Lumix FZ30 p&s camera. / Programmes used were Picasa3 and / DynamicPhoto – HDR. ===================
