This gentleman is 87 years old blind in one eye and he will take you down the river in his boat for one hour for $2.00 US , I wasn’t game enough but was happy to give him $4.00 for the shot, I think I got the bargain but you can see by the smile how happy he was to receive it. It is said that to see Mt Fuji on a clear day is a rare thing and on our one and only day in this area we got very lucky with some perfect conditions. Clear skies and not a breath of wind. This particular location is renowned for the ‘diamond view’ that can be seen of this beautiful mountain.
Autumn afternoons in the Western Cape are often magical. This was Friday afternoon – just got home from work, grabbed my gear and headed to this Camps Bay tidal pool, a place I frequently photograph. What a perfect way to kick off the weekend!

This is the traditional bracelets the Bishnoi women still wear today. I love the simplicity of it, they are quite heavy, i tryed a couple myself. These days you can buy ‘fake’ aluminium ones in the shops, of bad quality and they cut into your legs when you wear them. Rajahstan, India
