views: 3424 / favs: 51 Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. Julia had a wonderful garden full of beautiful flowers, plants and trees. Her favorite was her little magic tree. Each year for Christmas, the tree would begin to glow. All she had to do was add a few little bulbs and bows with seeds for the animals and birds. What a glorious little tree it was. She could even see it through her window in a snow storm. Each year, she would find a new gift under her tree on Christmas morning. It would be something she or her family or friends would need. She hoped this year the gift would be many blessings and love for everyone she loved. Who knows? It is a magic tree. :o) Created in Fractal Explorer using the JT Eyes Julia formula.

a Christmas tearjerker old Amsterdam style! :) Ik zit hier heel alleen kerstfeest te vieren / De straf die ik verdiend heb zit ik uit / Ik stal voor ons gezin, maar dat had toch geen zin / Want jij viert nu kerstfeest met een ander / Hoe heb je mij zo snel kunnen vergeten? / Waarom zit er nu een ander op mijn stoel? / Ik ben zo eenzaam hier, in die koude kille cel / Kan jij echt niet begrijpen wat ik voel?
