It is located on the north side of the island, an hour’s mountainous drive from the capital city of Port of Spain. Unlike many of the northern beaches of Trinidad, Maracas Beach is protected by a deep bay.

The traditional seaside showing of Punch & Judy waits for its next audience. The sun was shining behind me, with dark rainclouds to the front of me. Over-use of ND filters has enhanced the clouds. The clouds eventually left and I didn’t get wet, it was actually very hot! Weymouth, UK.
