corner of mission and 2nd street, san francisco, holga madness. / kodak tri-x turns out this is just up the road from the new RB office, but I didn’t know that when I took it. (having only been to the US thrice i still find steam rising from the vents in the street most evocative, the locals probably find it annoying)
I have taken this double exposure with my toycamera Holga on film. / The cityview is taken from Eureka sky deck in Melbourne. / This beautiful sentence was tagged on a house in Brunswick near mine, but a week later the owner gave it a clean… / With this photo I can always remember it. (no digital manipulation here)

This is for najeroux. When my film came back from the lab and I pulled this photo out of the bag I nearly dropped my hat. A triple twist of champion arcitecture, HolgaMadness and (accidently) Magritte. I don’t think I can top this. So I am going to stop. You can relax now Danny. Mt Gambier, South Australia / Holga 120CFN, Fuji Neopan ISO400 This was taken in May 2006. When I returned in May 2007, the bench had collapsed and had been removed.
an image capturing the factors that impact on the “quality” of a photographic image. A window, glass, made opaque due to medium density housing regulations, dirty due to water restrictions, the sky and sunshine still fall on the fence that seperates us from strangers. The camera captures this everyday scene, the negative has imperfections, dust attaching itself to its surface during drying, or is pressed between it and the glass during scanning. The scanned image once again “loses” some of what was originally visible, printing the image again brings in imperfections in paper and ink. Yet even with these limitations and imperfections, the power and essence of the image remains. photographer: Chris Zissiadis / camera: Holga 120N
