The universe intrigues me so…..This is my piece called the Event Horizon….based on the Black Hole, which is pretty much excepted as to be a real event in space, though we haven’t exactly seen one because the only time you can see a black hole is when it is ‘eating’....Once a star reaches the Event Horizon there is no escape, and the black hole ‘eats’ the star and its light….but what does a black hole do with the energy it consumes? In that death of a star, could not life emerge….for all around us we see the circle of life… we find that death is only change….energy keeps going….so I ponder on my theories…..what is beyond the event horizon….could the black hole teach us, I think if we could figure this one out, we might understand more about the universe and life itself, for as above so below…...I hope you enjoy my fractal art, created in Tierazon and played with and refined in Photoshop.

This reference is obscure, though the goggles were memorable. You’d have to search land scapes near and far …farscapes you might say… to understand this one. Artwork is intentionally rough; click for larger view. Do not expect photorealistic images; these are more like comic books.

i started this painting years ago and it took some time til (it )decided (it ) was done….still without finish. it has been and is connected to my seeking…or spiritual process…looking at and being with the journey…. unattached yet present. i feel strongly about my art speaking for itself since the art work creates itself in a sense and i just listen and do. i trust each individual and their own personal journey. putting my words thoughts ideas or translation feels inappropriate. i trust everyone to receive their own message through the viewing and their own intimate relationship with the work. mixed media on wood

I took this photo yesterday at the stables on base. This is a light post up there and it is packed full of nuts from top to about 6ft from the bottom, I’m going to try to get a full shot of the whole thing the next time I’m up there, it’s pretty cool looking!!! A popular surfing spot in Newcastle called the Cowrie Hole. This is a right hand reef break ending on a sandy beach. It usually produces the best conditions for surfing up to about two hours either side of high tide, in any wind direction from the North West through to the South West. It can comfortably handle waves up to about 8 feet, but usually delivers it’s best quality waves between 4 to 6 feet. The image was captured with a 6 MP Sony Cyber-Shot.

Welcome to NGC5128 or Centaurus A or The Hamburger. / This is a close neighbouring galaxy to the Milky Way. It lies about 12,000,000 Ly distant and is an active galaxy. In the centre of the Galaxy lies a Million Solar Mass Black Hole. The gravity of this enormous black hole attracts the stars and gas in the middle of the galaxy. The gas and stars falling in creates a disc of material which gets superheated due to the compression of the gravity of the black hole. The super hot material radiates its energy in radio and X-rays. The point directly above and below the disc of infalling matter allows for most of the energy to escape in jets. These jets will effect the galaxy itself and as you can see the galaxy appears to be elongated slightly off the vertical. The bark lane across the middle of the galaxy is not the infalling dust and gas. Rather it is the remains of another galaxy that Centaurus A has canablised in the past. The glow of the stars is being blocked from view. This Galaxy is very large by any standard being several times the size of the Milky Way. / This image is a composite of 3 five minutes images taken with a Nikon D300. The camera was attached to a 6” refractor on a mount to compensate for the earths rotation.
