  • This Pencil, ink and chalk pastel on 100 lb. cover stock paper is part of a Chakra series where each painting and print carries the Energy Vibration of the depicted Chakra to help re-charge and empower the viewer. Hanging this print in a room will change the Energy of the room. LOVE is the most powerful transformational Energy in the Universe. Everything of value comes from the Heart. But you first have to give it to YOU… how can you give something to someone if you do not first own it yourself? This series of Chakra paintings will be part of the Plan BE book series. /

  • This is the second piece in the Seasons series and another aspects of Mother Nature. It caries the Divine Energy of the Mother Earth as she rests and waits. Just like ‘Autumn’, It is a 7×5 in. chalk pastel, ink and pencil piece on 100 lb. cover stock paper. FEATURED in the Woman Appreciation Group – March ‘09

  • I was testing a new rough 200+ grain watercolor paper that an artist gave me (I will find out the brand name) and wanted to see if I could produce a subject 5×7 in. that was round and soft using chalk pastels. I think that it worked.

  • I saw some photo stock work by Faestock at Deviant Art and fell in love with this girl sitting on a black sweep background. I was given permission to use her as reference and she became my Angel. I used pencil, ink, and photoshop to 80 lb. cold press paper and then pencil and chalk pastels to finish.

  • This beautiful lady is a pencil, ink and chalk pastel on a piece of watercolor/pastel paper. I have been working on her for a couple of months. I wanted to have her finished by my birthday this last Sunday, April 19th… so Saturday I called her FINISHED. I was experimenting on this piece with different layering techniques that I have used on a few of the other pieces that got uploaded here before her. This was so involved that I don’t know how many that I will do like this. But I am happy with her. She represents all of the women of the world who are now just ‘waking up’.

  • This pastel was to be a tribute to Mimi Yoon. I am always blown away by her women. The lips and eyes of her women grab you, draw you in and don’t let go… but for me it is the the hair. Always the perfect frame to showcase the creation. Sometimes the hair will look like that quick last minute addition… but it is always the perfect ‘crowning’ piece of the picture. Part of the perfect mix. I wanted to capture just a hint of the woman’s face with beautiful full lips and then just let go with the hair. Let the pastels fly: loose and wild… but damn-it… I had to slow down and get the lighting just right. Sorry Mimi I tried. Maybe someday I will feel the freedom that you enjoy. I’m workin’ on it. Thanks for the inspiration. This is an 8×10 in. art marker and chalk pastel on watercolor paper.

  • I was having a very interesting discussion a few days ago about modern human sexuality with a very dear friend of mine. She is in the process of writing her own book that will be a big help to empower women of all ages. We were talking about some of the very serious and important information ‘downloads’ that she is getting while in meditation when our conversation turned to funny related thoughts, ideas and stories. This always happens. We can stay serious for only ten or fifteen minutes at a time… if we are lucky. Her thought was this: Women do not understand the power and magic that the right few words can have on any situation. EXAMPLE 1 – Women spend way too much time and money on their hair, nails, clothes, perfume, and makeup before going out on a date or to meet with friends at a bar or club. All of this effort is to make herself attractive to someone. When all a woman has to do is simply walk over to the person that they find attractive and whisper in their ear: “I’m not wearing any panties.” The whole situation magically changes in a second. Less time, less money, and she is in control. My good friend has many more equally interesting ideas and this is a pencil and pastel piece that I did for her as a gift. I hope that she likes it and that you enjoy it also.

  • Capturing a passing emotion with chalk pastel and pencil on watercolor paper using a limited palette of blue, grey, black, and white. The strength and passion of the Divine Feminine.

  • In the last weeks, with “Inanna In The Morning Mist”, “My Caduceus”, and “It’s About Time…” I have been working on getting expressions right. This piece was the hardest. Most expressions rely on the eyes and also the mouth to convey the feeling. In this piece with the eyes closed and the mouth pulling on the bed sheet… the composition was going to play a bigger part in conveying the emotion. This time what is happening off the page is as important as what you see on the page. “Oh Sheet…” is an 8×10 in. Design Marker, pencil, and chalk pastel on pastel paper. So many people tell me how the Energy of my pictures move them. I am so honored by all of the praise and the personal stories that are shared. I share with you here a very passionate and emotional piece that Tempe created for “Oh Sheet!...” The power of the words combined with the visual create something that each alone can not do. her body alive with need / open to his every touch / she is …his puppet at this moment / he owns her body / as he keeps it on edge close to… just not slipping over / building the pleasure / knowing the intensity it will prompt her body knelt / thighs parted wide / ankles crossed heart to the mattress / back arched in a long smooth sweep / quivering cheeks held high he fits against her / pressing in / waiting she feels his hands touch and smear over her hips / the grip as he leans away / the heat of his skin recedes her hands move / fingers spread wide like stars / she knows what the next moment will bring then as he fills her again / hips arching in opening her / her hands close tight to hold back the tremor fists closing around the sheets / the linen pulled to her mouth / body bucking back against him head thrown back / all pleasure shown in one simple movement / breath catching in her throat a harsh sound / her hands draw in / as if to silence libertine cries the sexual bliss building / allowing felicity to become euphoria / ecstacy growing sharp breaths ignite wanton embers / into hot licking flames / tongues that gloss and flick inside her her body kindles and flickers / then blazes and vibrates / the exquisite pleasure building she is ready / the tightening inside she begins to slip into the abyss / he stops ….. / she begs softly ’ noooooooooooooo’ that moment on hold again, / her fist presses to her mouth and she bites down, / holding back, breath still rasping in her throat / her body his marionette / the strings halted and as he moves again, / hot hard flesh filling her / her head again arches back in the pure pleasure teeth tugging on the sheet, / mind body and soul owned by him / in this moment. by Tempe

  • This was fun. / I started with a photo that I found in an old reference file – did a marker sketch on white 80 lb. cover stock paper using warm and cool grey markers and then layered cool and warm colored chalk pastels on top. I dedicate this piece to Jack Kershner of Lance Lot Studios. He hired me right after graduating from college. He taught me so much about the advertising business and I will share some of the wonderful stories with you some day soon in my Journal. Here is one that pertains to this piece - One early spring afternoon Jack told me that I should bring my lunch with me the next day. He was going to take me somewhere special for a picnic. The next day we closed the shop early for lunch and we walked through the busy business district where the studio was located to an underpass beneath the county courthouse. It was a typical windy St. Louis spring day and we were having some difficulty spreading out our sack lunch on a metal bench that was directly under a flight of stairs that took you up to the landing in front of the courthouse. It was like being inside of a wind tunnel and I didn’t see any special reason for being here… until all of the secretaries that worked in the surrounding buildings (dressed in their business dresses and skirts) decided to also go to lunch and use the stairs that we were sitting under to get to all of the restaurants. It was quite a show as each one battled with the wind whirling up the stairs. Okay… I am not too proud of that now, but I was just 21 at the time, and this was my first job after school, and my first boss…

  • This is a piece that I did for the / THE DIVINE FEMININE / Warriors, Demons, and Whores Challenge. She is – Morgan (Morrigan): Celtic; Goddess of War and Magic. In some ancient stories “The Dark Green Goddess from the Emerald Isle” is mated with the Merlin,
in others she is the Lady of the Lake, and in many versions she is the sister of Arthur. Morgan has her good side but is mostly known for her deep dark shadow side. She was said to be a shape-changer who could turn from ravishing beauty to hag, to crow. She reportedly also knew how to utilize the full spectrum of Earths Energy for good or bad. I was inspired by the artwork here on RedBubble of: AlexandraG, AmandaGWright, artistmind, Reynaldo and more to be loose and expressive with my line work and color. With this piece I think that I made that next step. 10×8 IN. Ink, Pencil, and Chalk Pastel on Watercolor paper.

  • This is the first of three tight 5×7 chalk pastel of close up parts of the body on 60 lb. cover stock paper. I first did a very tight black and white pastel and pencil drawing and then scanned it into Adobe Photoshop. I worked on the brightness and contrast of the drawing and then printed it back out onto the paper where I layered the black, grey and white chalk pastels over the original drawing. Seems like a laborious process… and I guess it is. But I enjoyed it and I like how the finish looks… and feels.
