I’m the newest fan of the watchmen. It’s amazing how some things go by unnoticed. Then one day you stumble across them and discover how freaking awesome they are. In celebration i made myself a shirt to wear with a quote from Rorschach. “Watchmen are over.What do you suggest we do about it?” / “Retribution.” If you are looking for a shirt to buy, i would recommend one made by someone who actually has talent such as this guy. The lighthouse structure is only about 20 years old, but the lantern has an longer history, starting life in the Bedout Island lighthouse, 30km off the coast of Port Hedland in the north of W.A. This design imagines Hillary Clinton as a political detergent for Washington D.C. in general, and for the White House in particular. Satirically using a design suggestive of a laundry soap box, this t-shirt recasts the political soap box to be more than just a platform for public speaking, but a more literal cleansing agent. “Gets out stubborn Bush stains”, reads the star in the lower lefthand corner, which, in a more commercial detergent, might only read “new and improved”. This Clinton White House might indeed be new and improved, compared to the last model that the United States bought back in the 1990s, but the message that will resound most profoundly with supporters of the Hillary Clinton for President campaign is that it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush.

Pilot Officer Richard Hillary RAFVR was a member of 603 (City of Edinburgh) Sqdn and the painting is of him being shot down in a Spitfire MkI, ser.no.X4277, code XT-M, by Hauptmann Eric Bode flying a Messerschmitt Bf109E of the German Luftwaffe on the 3rd September 1940 during the Battle of Britain. / / The fuel tank of Hillary’s aircraft was hit by cannon fire and almost immediately engulfed the cockpit in flames. Hillary had difficulty in sliding back his canopy and quickly lost consciousness due to the pain of his burns. The next thing he was aware of was descending over the sea beneath his parachute. This action took place between 20,000 and 25,000ft over the Thames Estuary, north of Margate. Pilot Officer Hillary was rescued by the Margate lifeboat just after 10am and taken to Margate Hospital suffering serious burns to his face, hands and legs. He was later treated by the renowned plastic surgeon Archibald McIndoe. / / P/O Hillary died, aged 23, along with his navigator-radio operator, Wilfrid Fison in a flying accident on the 8th January 1943, whilst on a night training flight from RAF Charter Hall, Berwickshire, Scotland. His B of B score was 5 enemy a/c, 2 probables and 1 shared. / 603 were the top scoring Sqdn during the B of B.

Have been told by a friend that they have had some awesome sunsets in this part of the world over the last few weeks. As I am either still working, driving home and nowhere near here I decided Sunday was D day and decided to see what I could capture. Was quite pleased with the result. But will be back soon to see if I can expand on it.

I call this place Hillarys boat harbour. I think others call it Mindarie. It doesnt worry me whatever it is called it is a great place for a bit of retail therapy or eating out. I enjoy both here as there is so much variety. This really would have to be up there as far as a tourist must see. I am sure you have something you would like to share as where you enjoy. Well this is one of mine.
