  • Sahara
    by Craig Hender

    US$4.28–US$114.00

Unfortunately the skies here in the desert are mostly hazy and full of sand and dust! There are not too many days when there are clear horizons with clouds, and to be able to catch a sunrise like this was just excellent! Located in Libya towards the Algerian border. / /

  • Dune
    by Craig Hender

    US$4.28–US$114.00

One of the many dunes located in the Sahara desert in Libya. I thought this particular shot worked well in b&w. Any feed back would be appreciated. /

  • Indian Shrine
    by Rany Lutz

    US$4.28–US$114.00

    Joshua Tree National Park, California

  • Twice a day as the tides receed nature’s tidal artwork is unveiled – and what an exhibition it can be ! At glance it may be missed…but with a keener eye patterns emerge..sometimes contoured, other times smooth. Only can nature make such pieces of work that define true beauty on a seemingly endless scale. / / / Canon EOS A2, Fuji Velvia 50. / ©T.Middleton2007 —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / / / see more of my photography from Nth Qld below / / /

  • Run Home Slow
    by Naomi Frost

    US$3.99–US$106.40

I went out today to get some shots and ended up walking up this rather steep sand hill (I could get fit if I keep this up). On the way back to the car I dropped my shutter release, but after backtracking for a while I finally found it. Thankfully, I didn’t have to climb this hill again to search for it.!!! / And to top that off, I almost sank in mud and nearly lost a shoe at another location…but that story is for another photo…. Title inspired by Frank Zappa. / / / / / /

  • Swift
    by Jake Easley

    US$5.56–US$148.20

Death Valley Sand Dunes @ Stove Pipe Wells. I was trying to find an “alternative” view to a scene that has been photographed thousands of times. The image was shot in infrared and a gradient was added to the sky to give some separation.

  • Indian Post Office
    by Rany Lutz

    US$4.28–US$114.00

    Joshua Tree National Park, California

  • Pastel Sunset
    by Naomi Frost

    US$3.99–US$106.40

Taken with a ND4 filter, no other post production needed.

  • ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Still Waters sold very early on, but she is one of my favourite images. I was inspired by Margaret Preston’s work on this occasion, wanting to give the impression of a print somehow. This is a mixed media production in which I used ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal.

  • Layered
    by Tristan Clements

    US$4.28–US$114.00

Up at 4.30 to catch the dawn over the sand dunes of Mesquite Flats in Death Valley National Park. The haze in the sky created a beautiful sense of depth to the rolling layers of dunes and mountains beyond. I wasn’t sure this shot was going to turn out- although not straight into the sun, the scattered light in the haze has burnt the sky out, but the side-light kept the contrast in the dunes to give some nice form and dimension to the foreground. Hope you enjoy. May 2007.

  • Concentration Moon
    by Naomi Frost

    US$3.99–US$106.40

Title borrowed from Frank Zappa again. This is what I saw after climbing the sand hill featured in Run Home Slow

  • Cholla Garden
    by Rany Lutz

    US$4.28–US$114.00

    Joshua Tree National Park, California

  • Photo taken by collegue Simon Frankel. Then edited in Photoshop by myself. Thankyou to Simon for allowing me to post the photo. This was not a sand storm as some may think. Just over the hill was a raging fire that was taking control in 2006. They were taken at Pike River during the bush fire that burnt out around 120,000 hectares of scrub just north of the Riverland. / It was a mixture of smoke, stormy grey cloud and some sun trying to break through.

  • Mid Day
    by Karsten Stier

    US$3.42–US$91.20

In this painting I have endeavored to reduce the landscape down to its absolute minimum, focusing purely on the line of salt-bush on the horizon, with one solitary bird hovering in the air, to give the impression of the raw empty heat of a mid day summer where nothing stirs until l the cool of the evening. . .
