  • note: the compression of the preview image on redbubble seems very pixelated (I have this problem with every red toned image I upload on other sites as well) – the original photo & print itself will not look like this and is flawless this I can guarantee / / When I converted this capture from camera I initially had no idea if I could make this interesting – subject matter is not beautiful waves or a scenic mountain range in Africa but nevertheless after some time spent redoing it twice, I think the vibrant red suites it just perfect. One of the comments I received from family was; “it looks like the red landscape of mars” which was comical but nice :) As always I hope you view South Africa in a different ‘light’ with my photography – photo taken in Kassies Bay, South Africa Flickr Gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/soulmyst/ P.S If you prefer to view this on imageKind do a search “soulmyst”

  • Wild indeed to think I have been given the opportunity to travel through my own country which I myself know so little of and capture memorable memories with photography (I promise to one day upload real and exciting wildlife photos and not signs warning of them hehe)... This was taken in Dana baai – South Africa Flickr Gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/soulmyst/ P.S If you prefer to view this on imageKind do a search “soulmyst”

  • Title should be self evident and I cannot help but think of Queen’s song ‘We Will Rock You’ :) just a seascape photo to enjoy taken on the same beach as ‘Sea of Thoughts’ before high tide near Knysna (Brenton-on-Sea)... Garden Route, Western Cape Province – South Africa Flickr Gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/soulmyst/ P.S If you prefer to view this on imageKind do a search “soulmyst”

  • At the top of Shine Hill, Fort Ann, N.Y.

  • I took this photo in February 2009 as I was climbing up to the village of Damon from Kathmandu. The road was quiet. I climbed for hours. The section here was only a very short part of the road! Taken with a Nikon D40x and 18-200mm lense.

  • I decided to take the long way home after work. I jumped off the freeway and took the backroads. I came across a burnt out Holden Commodore sitting in the ditch of the road in the middle of nowhere.

  • View of the Ishak pasa palace with the road leading to Dogu Beyazit.Turkey

  • View of Ishak pasa palace just behind the nearby mosque with dogubeyazit in the distance. Turkey

  • This image is of an original watercolor and pastel, painted on 4×9” paper. / It was begun in 1998 and completed in 2001 with a new pastel technique. / Path paintings often come from contemplating the unknown future. Will there be a magical experience right over the hill? Often artists choose an odd number of objects in a painting, as odd numbered groupings are pleasing to the eye. Sometimes there is a compositional riddle hidden in a painting – the arrangement of objects tells the painting’s story in another language. / In this piece, the road lies right in the middle of the group of trees. What do you see: Three trees on each side or groupings of four and three? How many are actually there? / Although the image is ambiguous and the traveler cannot see where the path leads beyond the hill, there are mysterious lights in the branches suggesting that all is well. Fireflies? Reflected light? Will there be peace or peril over that ridge? What are the odds? (Item # 28, painted under maiden name Lisa Sutton)
