Taken in Nairne in the Adelaide Hills. The sun as it rose through the fog turned the branches & dried grass a beautiful golden red colour. I also used the ‘shade’ white balance, which helped to enhance the yellow & red tones.

A Morning Stroll At the Lake Every now and then we almost miss a shot, and luckily this time I happened to turn around as I was walking back to my car from shooting the sunrise and had this scene greet me. Captured at Cherry Creek State Park outside of Denver, Colorado, the light seemed to almost dance among the trees. Processed in HDR

Pastel on Colourfix Sanded Paper (Burgundy) – 70cm x 50cm This is another in the series of paintings I did along Hughes Creek at Tarcombe, Victoria, Australia. This is such a beautiful and isolated area! ‘Good Morning Billy Hill’ is the name of the hill in the far distance. I had an energetic climb to my vantage point at around 7.00 a.m. on the most glorious, warm, clear morning. There was a slight mist around. It was a ‘great to be alive’ day! I was off to take some photographs of some waterfalls in the Breacon Beacons in Wales when I almost missed this scene. Had there not been a break in the cloud I may have missed it. It was probably the best drive by shooting photograph I have to date. I’ve had a little play in photoshop and thought I’d post the results. / The original was shot using a Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 27mm, f/8, 1/60 sec, ISO 400. No filters used and mounted on the car door. I then upped the exposure in photoshop with a layered PS approach and added some crows for effect. I hope you like it. © Copyright 2009 David Reid – redtree.me – All rights reserved.
