I actually took this shot while “You’re not the only one” by Ammonia was playing on my Ipod. Great song fitting image. “Cuts like pins and needles, miles and miles away. I took the shot through the Windscreen of my car. I really like the effect, it seems quite sad and intimidating.

  • Across the Street
    by Caroline Fournier

    US$4.66–US$106.40

Every morning I go in to work and take the same route, that is, walk from the bus stop, go up the same flight of stairs and walk down the same hallway to get to my office. And every morning from that hallway window, I see this very building and pretty much every day (unless it’s a pretty grim day or raining) I think about how pretty the reflections of the clouds and sun really look (is it obvious yet that very simple things make me happy?). So it is pretty obvious that this would eventually make it as one of my photos. Needless to say that I have adjusted the contrast levels to make it a little more dramatic but bottom line, it’s just a picture of the building across the street …

The bacteria have not caused her any problems for thousands of years but they seem to be a little overpowering at the moment. They are attacking all parts of the sky and ground. The bacteria are spreading faster than ever before and are out of control. But mums cool, she’s tough. Only been around 4.5 billion years. She’s has been sick plenty of times. Nothing a good wash will not fix.

yet another highrise at Broadbeach! straight from the camera again. it is a gorgeous building that owes a lot to Harry Seidler for it’s curves. i love the abstract quality. I have never been inside, but I fancy the idea of living here one day…when I don’t have a dog or a small boy who needs a yard to play in:)

  • MLC HDR
    by alexkess

    US$6.65–US$152.00

The MLC. Here is some more info on the building that I found on wikipedia: The MLC Centre is a skyscraper in Sydney, Australia. This office building is 228 metres (748 feet) high [1] and has 67 storeys.[2] Occupants include the Sydney Consulate of the United States of America. The podium of the building includes a shopping centre with several exclusive fashion labels, a cinema, and a 1,186 seat theatre, the Theatre Royal.[3] / The building was designed by Sydney architect Harry Seidler, and it remains one of his most definitive works. The building’s construction was controversial, since it brought about the demolition in 1972 of the opulent 19th century Hotel Australia, which formerly stood on the site, as well as much of the historic Rowe Street precinct. / The building is a stark white, modernist column in an octagonal floorplan, with eight massive load-bearing columns in the corners that taper slightly towards the top. It is one of the world’s tallest reinforced concrete buildings and was the tallest building in the world outside North America at the time of its completion. The MLC Centre was Sydney’s tallest office building from 1977 to 1992[citation needed]. / The building was awarded the Sir John Sulman medal by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. / The MLC Centre is currently jointly owned by the GPT Group and Queensland Investment Corporation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mlc_centre You can also visit my blog at alexkess.wordpress.com
