Taken in Glacier Park near Granite Park Chalet.
Taken from the summit of Mt Oberlin overlooking The Garden Wall in Glacier NP. Down below is the famous Going To The Sun Highway and further up is the Highline Trail. Above that is the Continental Divide. I don’t know who that guy on the left is.
The Highline Trail in Glacier National Park is a highlight my backpacking experience. What a way to start a 4 month hike!

Hiking the Highline Trail in the Logan Pass in Montana yesterday what a fantastic view of the valley below if you are scared of heights you may want to forgo this one the trail is high and very narrow. The sky was quite hazy but burned off enough to get some blue. / Three shot panorama merged in CS3. Nikon D300 / Sigma 10-20
Skyline Puddle By Dave Hampton – Glacier National Park / / This was about a five mile hike from Logan’s Pass on the Highline Trail. What an amazing trek I had that night. I was about to turn around right before I got to this rock but I am glad I found it. They have been shutting down the road every night at 10:00 so I had to hustle back otherwise I would have been stuck for four hours. This was my first photo I took that night. The light and scenery just blew me away for the next couple of hours of hiking. / / / / 10% of sales go to the Sierra Club / Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. / All images are the copyright of the artist – © Dave Hampton. Highline Views by Dave Hampton – Glacier N.P, Montana / / Taken from the Highline trail starting at Logan’s Pass, I was so excited when I saw this bear grass at the bottom of this clearing. This summer they are closing the road down from Logan’s pass for construction at 10:00 p.m. so I was in a bit of a hurry to get back to my vehicle but I couldn’t pass up the chance to take some time with this photo even if I had to wait for four hours to get through the construction. I am so glad that I did. This is my first summer living near Glacier and it hasn’t disappointed. Absolutely amazing!! / / “Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. The Highline Park is the newest park in New York City. It was created from the elevated track that was used to service deliveries to businesses on the West Side of Manhattan from 34th Street down to Tribeca. The first renovated section of the park combines remnants of track with wildflowers and grasses. / Canon EOS Xsi
