Paint horses hidden in the grass on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. If you aren’t paying attention, you will miss them when you drive by, so keep your eyes open!

Wild horse in Utah. This guy is very elusive. In the three years I have been going out to photograph the horses, I have only seen this band 3 times. They live up in the Juniper trees and are very shy. This is the only photo I have been able to get of this band. I know there are 4 of them in this band but they don’t stick around long enough to get any shots. Trying to follow them in the trees is impossible. /

Ok, I was testing the Nikon D300’s 52 point face recognition here and it actually works pretty good. This is AS IS ~ NO adjustments. :) My dog (Callie) will sit there for hours if I give her ANY attention. SHE is a CAMERA HOUND :) he he I couldn’t live without her! Enjoy ~ micki :) AS IS (not touched)

The gorgeous Silverspray Falls (also known as Hidden Falls) deep withim Tillman’s Ravine in Stokes State Forest Preserve of northwestern New Jersey. The afternoon I captured this, the falls were very powerful due to torrential spring rains that had been falling during the month of June. By mid-August they may be pretty much non-existent, depending on how dry the summer turms out to be. The hike itself is very treacherous, but very rewarding when you finally reach the falls. Gear : Nikon D300 – Nikkor 24-80 f2.8 ED lens – Circular Polarizer – Manfrotto Tripod with cable release. Settings: 36mm – f16 at 5 seconds. All content & images © Stephen Vecchiotti. by tkrosevearBALAM (Bah lahm) is Mayan for the Jaguar, one of the premier symbols ~ portrayed as gods, whom most feared. Kings and nobility wore jaguar pelts as symbols of authority. Jaguars were also important transformation figures in some Mesoamerican rituals. / Lesson: The shadow-self is that part of ourselves that is kept hidden away in our own personal underworld – the part that never sees the light of day. Part of our shadow is unconscious and part of it is conscious – the secrets about ourselves that we hide from others, and often have difficulty in even admitting to ourselves.
