It seems quite a popular place to watch the sun set at the latest possible time.
This image is for all those who walk a simerla path to myself, i have been planning to draw a collection of images based on the yearly sabbats and this is the first one i have so far compleated. And all Redbubble’rs will be the first to see it haveing only compleated it last night. / Like most of my work there is a heavy celtic theam in this image but i have tryed to add as much symbolism as i could just to add to the power of the image, the figures are based with in a pentagram surronded by spirals of the waxing and waining moon, and then there is the cressent moon and the blazing sun, there is more but i dont want to give it all away and its fun to see if others can pick up on what is hidden in all my work.
from my 2009 Calendar
For a long time now i’ve been trying to think of a way of adding an image based around hares, These wonderful animals i rember from growing up on a farm, dashing round the feilds at dawn when the mist makes everything seem magical. / But i wanted to produce an image which was more than a hare stairing at the moon, so i hope you like the finished work with the horned god watching over them as they dance in the shadow of Glastonbury Tor.
Ha…just a little funny on my part …it was odd how all the containers were turned so you couldn’t read the name…I could have called this “Comfort”..but that sounds a bit like a lush …so hope you enjoy my play on words here… Original digital photograph. / Taken with a Sony Full HD 1080 Cyber Shot camera. Sunset at Herne Bay, Kent, England
Out of the dark forest into the realm of myth and literature. Created in Photoshop comprising photographic elements and shapes created in Groboto.
Perhaps the most well-known encumbant of the Vicarage of Herne was Nicolas Ridley who is noted for the “Te Deum” to be sung in English for the first time. He may more often be remembered, as the then Bishop of London, for being burned at the stake in Oxford, along with Bishop Latimer. He was eventually accused and convicted of heresy in 1555 although unfortunately, throwing his support behind the attempt by Lady Jane Grey to become the Queen of England two years earlier had obviously not helped his cause. Prior to his death, he wrote several letters in which he fondly remembered his time at Herne. There are several fine 15th and 16th Century brasses in this Church. These are memorials to; Lady Fineux, the wife of the Chief Justice of the King’s Bench, John Darley, a former Vicar at Herne, Lady Phelip, whose husband supplied the jewels for the coronation of Edward IV, Peter Halle and his wife and the family of John Atte Sea.
Situated just outside of herne , this long lane goes right through from the farm and over the hills.
I climbed to the top of the hills , waited till the sun peaked through the clouds and it gave the fields a golden glow. I was also lucky to catch the shadows across the fields from the clouds above.
1.991 – 2.003 ENGLISH Since 1970 there was already a demand for the company is unmatched in the construction of an auditorium. After contacts with the architect, the Auditorio de Tenerife started with the project so spectacular in 1.991. The play, after relocating to the project in several locations, finally was placed in the new commercial area of Santa Cruz, near the sea, next to his equally Fairs and Conferences. The building, without doubt, gives the impression of continuous movement, unflagging symbol of the architect. For the design of this magnificent work was Santiago Calatrava was inspired by no less than a breaking wave. Potentially modern style and symbolic nature, the Auditorio de Tenerife is composed of a series of curved volumes, some of them lined trencadís technique, Gaudí’s undeniable influence, which overhangs the main body of the curved shape the concrete dome. This huge dome is located no less than 50 meters high with respect to the lower plaza that surrounds it. On both sides of the auditorium, Calatrava indicates the access inside the main hall of the building by two enormous arches placed on a stepped platform. Inside, the majestic building has several distinct spaces, the Symphony Hall, located at level zero and one, has a scenario of 380 m² for a capacity of around 1558 spectators. The other important room, the Chamber Hall, has 150 square meters and a capacity for 428 spectators. In short, the Auditorio de Tenerife is without doubt a unique building and symbol of the island of Tenerife and image externally.

In its original form two bridges planned Calatrava symmetrical and opposed to each side of the Cartuja island to provide access to the important exhibition. Subsequently, due to excessive cuts in the budget, the client chose to perform a single bridge over a viaduct of 500 meters in total length. The Alamillo Bridge finally stood on the east side of Round Ring, meander through the San Jeronimo, a tributary of the Guadalquivir river. Highlights of this work is undoubtedly the spectacular cable-stayed pylon height of 142 meters final with the help of 13 pairs of wires that are anchored to the bottom of the deck and through its own weight, get long sustain board 200 meters in total length. This enormous basin, which contains within itself a staircase than one viewpoint at the summit which is called “the eye of the horse’s head” and from which you can see a panoramic view of the entire city of Seville has an inclination of 58 degrees resembles one of the pyramids of Egypt, Cheops. It would give the board a mixed use which was distributed in three lanes for each direction of traffic on both sides and a walkway for pedestrians and bicycles higher in the center. Inspiration Calatrava imagined prior to the completion of this majestic bridge was triggered by a previous sculpture designed by the architect himself called “Torso in motion.”

“A Green Man is a sculpture, drawing, or other representation of a face surrounded by or made from leaves. Branches or vines may sprout from the nose, mouth, nostrils or other parts of the face and these shoots may bear flowers or fruit. Commonly used as a decorative architectural ornament, Green Men are frequently found on carvings in churches and other buildings (both secular and ecclesiastical). “The Green Man” is also a popular name for English public houses and various interpretations of the name appear on inn signs, which sometimes show a full figure rather than just the head. The Green Man motif has many variations. Found in many cultures around the world, the Green Man is often related to natural vegetative deities springing up in different cultures throughout the ages. Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or “renaissance,” representing the cycle of growth each spring. Some speculate that the mythology of the Green Man developed independently in the traditions of separate ancient cultures and evolved into the wide variety of examples found throughout history.”
