  • In islam, it is forbidden to do or have permanent tattoes, so people in islam use the mix from plants, called henna, which is temporary and lasts about a week. Then have fun using any form of patterns, onto hands and feet,. Mostly the women get together on a special time like, Eid (islam christmas) or weddings or the bride, who the henna patterns are a must!. My picture is o ccourse is not made from the actual mix, but i like playing around with the idea of it all, because it seems endless fun and beautiful strong colours.

  • So, what do you imagine might happen when a stunning young woman from Texas happens to make the acquaintance of a boastful sultan during a spring break tour of the Far East and challenges him to a few hands of no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em? Well, she wins a palace, that’s what. And in a round of double-or-nothing, his harem as well. Because Amaranth Cody was well brought-up and nothing if not hospitable, she insisted he remain as long as he liked, of course, but insisted that the ladies in his harem be freed, to stay or leave as they wished. Speechless in his fury, the sultan stomped off towards the east (inasmuch as anyone can stomp in sand) and was not heard from again. Should you find yourself in the Far East, be sure to drop by and pay Amaranth a visit, but whatever you do, refrain from challenging her to any card games. • Henna is used pretty extensively to decorate women’s hands during weddings in India. It’s called Mehindi in India At the mehndi ceremony, the future bride has her hands and feet intricately patterned with a paste which is a recipe of henna, oil, lemon juice and some water tinted with tea. The application of mehndi or henna takes about four hours to complete. Ideally, the bride-to-be should not wash her hands until the paste has completely dried. Mehndi has great significance in all Eastern wedding traditions, and no wedding is complete without the decoration of the bride’s hands and feet – in many cultures on both the front and back of the hands right up to the elbow, and on the bottom half of the legs. The mehndi night is something like a hen night in the West, with all the bride’s female friends and relatives getting together to celebrate. Mehndi signifies the strength of love in a marriage. The darker the mehndi, the stronger the love. More Info: / How it’s applied – freehand using what looks like a cake icing bag: Here 500+ views
