This is one of Helen Keller’s quotes I read recently and thought it was simply beautiful. More T-shirt designs

“The world is not dangerous because of those who do harm but because of those who look at it without doing anything” Albert Einstein “Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living; the world owes you nothing; it was here first” Mark Twain “The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is at all comprehensible.” Albert Einstein “What really interests me is whether God had any choice in the creation of the world.” / Albert Einstein “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.” Buddha “In the world there are only two tragedies. One is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.” Oscar Wilde “The world is a playground, and life is pushing my swing.” Natalie Kocsis “What’s the use of a fine house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on?” Henry David Thoreau “Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.” Anais Nin “The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do.” Sarah Ban Breathnach “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” Saint Augustine “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart” Helen Keller “I am not in this world to live up to other people’s expectations, nor do I feel that the world must live up to mine.” Fritz Perls “The earth laughs in flowers.” E. metaphorically, spiritually, physically – however you do it, it’s fun!
September 29th was a black day on the bubble for a lot of people. On that day, the voice of truth and reason failed on RB and was banished irrevocably. Helen Bascom had her account deleted without opportunity to defend or explain. To those who don’t know her, Helen is one of the longest standing members of this site, an amazing artist and writer and a passionate lobbyist for change for the better in this world. I have never met a single human being with such grit and determination, such passion, such COMPASSION, and such integrity…... She was the voice of reason and conscience and constantly spoke out to address issues that were unfair and injust in not only her country but across the planet. Sure she was outspoken, determined, ballsy, and flew in the face of convention when she felt “convention” was unacceptable. But she never missed an opportunity to speak out, stand up, or defend the underdog or those who had been treated unfairly. For this, Helen was very controversial, but love her or dislike her, you had to admit, her passion and energy were overwhelming and admirable and she always fought unwaveringly for what she believed in. I use the past tense “was” here because on redbubble, it appears that the subject of Helen is past. However Helen WAS all these things and Helen still IS ! And I intend to keep the spirit of what Helen stood for on RB alive. On top of these things, she is a fine human being, and my friend. I respect and admire her. And if I do nothing else here, I will speak out about this in her defence, while she is unable to. My sense of fairplay dictates that if I don’t delete my account at Redbubble then I must stay here and continue the fight FOR HER. This T Shirt is one way I can protest about Helen’s treatment here on the bubble and show all those who take pleasure in her departure, that those of us who can see past their petty egos and opinions outnumber them by far, and we will continue to fight for the truth and focus on what really matters.
I miss Helen Reddy… she could really sing.. without all the mechanical manipulations they do to voice these days.. she retired in 2002.. poop
