Heinz Field – Pittsburgh, PA – Home of the Pittsburgh Steelers
this is one of my Takk’s kittens from her second litter. i heard a crash then a load of mewing coming from the kitchen. / This little monster had knocked over half a tin on Heinz tomato soup then got stuck in it.
I like my fries dipped deeply in a splat of ketchup…heinz is the ketchup of choice…is there any other kind…
made this as part of a theme for another site but thought it should get a showing here too.
..on a blue background. Surely a must have for every culinary wizard ?
There is deeply philosophical conundrum embedded in this work / “Which came first the chicken or the fried egg ?” / The answer this.. “the spaghetti” ! I’ve got Irish and Italian blood so Celtic Spaghetti was the almost inevitable outcome ! I think this would look good as a big print.. so I hope one of the people who have bought this will put a PIC in the buyers booth ! Please !!!
I took this shot from the West End Overlook in Pittsburgh. The Steelers were celebrating winning the Superbowl Championship during this first game of the next season. I knew there would be fireworks that night, but did not realize the full moon. That was just a pleasant surprise when I set up. When I uploaded my images I was surprised to find how perfectly alighned the full moon was with the fireworks from the buildings. The photo is as was seen that night.
The first thoughts that come to me when I think of London are graffiti, music, landmarks and consumerism. This is my attempt to combine the 4 elements. / The bean tin/aerosol can express the continued perception of graffiti art being a criminal act while hundreds of 20ft bill boards avertising shit are allowed to stain our streets. / Look past the buy two get a third free when you dont need one!!!! / . / My entry for the London Calling competition. / Also entered into the Inspired by urban street stencil and graffiti art competition.

This is a re-work of my Scruffy picture I took of her 3 days after I found her abandoned on the “campo” scared and alone. Nikon D40 18-55mm I think she must have been thrown out at night as she is terrified of going into our back garden at night (our spotlight is broken!) and just cowers on the grass in fear and refuses to go to the toilet! Anyway whilst RB was down the other day I did a bit of playing on PSP and this was one of the images I played with!!! TEXTURE /
Overlooking Pittsburgh Pa’s Station Square (bottom right) by night this is a beautiful breathtaking city vista Nikon d-80 10-20mm lens /
‘Serenity’ is part of a series, all in identical size.
“I am such a wimp and don’t like the vet stabbing me and so much has happened to me in the past 6 weeks! Then I was alone, abandoned, full of worms, ticks and fleas, pregnant, cold and hungry. I was found by my new Mum and now I am vacinated, speyed and today I had my last trumatic visit to the vet and had a blood test so that I can go and live in England if my Mum has to return there. In this photo I am actually using Boots as a pillow! I usually either use him or a human to lie on! Anyway I am a happy girl now, regular food, walks and comfortable house to live in!” Nikon D40 18-55mm Raw was just trying out the remote control I got for Xmas! A real bargain, cost something silly like £2 off Ebay direct from China/HongKong and works fine! About £18 cheaper than Amazon! Started photography May 2008
Pittsburgh is not referred to the golden triangle much anymore but thats what they called it while I was growing up there I think the reason is pretty clear on a morning like this. Taken with the nikon d-80 and the nikkor 18-135 mm lens /
My naughty little “campo” dog! She was in Hannah’s bad books yesterday, she opened up a Hannah Montana jigsaw she got for her birthday and Scruffy chewed up one of the pieces!! Oppps! So Hannah Montana now has a chewed bit of jeans! For group rules: / Started photography May 2008 / Nikon D40 18-55mm / I found Scruffy abandoned on the “campo”, pregnant, full of fleas, ticks and worms! Well 2 months on she rather likes the cushy domestic life she now has, and is generally very good!!!
The West End Bridge in Pittsburgh Pa is very busy in the morning rush hour traffic i like the results of the time lapse photo .4 bridges are shown in the shot large view is always better with my shots :) / Taken with the Nikon D-80 and the 18-135mm lens /

The Heinz Memorial Chapel began as a gift. Henry John Heinz, the founder of the H.J. Heinz Company, wanted to honor his mother, Anna Margaretta Heinz, with “a building” at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ground was broken for the chapel in 1933, the cornerstone was laid in 1934, and the building was dedicated in 1938. Various religious services are held in the chapel, but it does not belong to any denomination. From its beginnings, the chapel was intended to be interdenominational. Nikon D80 ~ 18-135mm ~ ISO320
