Hooray!!!! We can ALL breathe a massive sigh of relief because someone has bought one of my cards! / / I think the wonderful buyer was Natalie Manuel who is the best damn animal photographer I’ve seen. Please, please check her stuff out. It’s great especially for kids I reckon… / / Natalie has done the bubble a huge favour, cos now you won’t have to put up with my pathetic, tragic ‘why me’ whinging that has even caused my normally loyal border collie to consider packing up and leaving. And now I can sit alongside other sellers such as the Great Alan Reading (or at least that’s what he said he’s called). The other person I wanna thanks is the gorgeous Jessica Tremp who told me to relax and my dog (before she turned on me) and Grandma Paltrow…did I mention her? Come to think of it, she never helped me one bit, the bitch. Spent all that time with Gwyneth, totally dissed me….ahhhh the bitterness is never far from the surface…

This tee, depicting homelessness in London, was designed for the This is London Calling challenge. If you like it, please go vote for it ;-) “Hee-hee London – tee 2” was featured in the groups Unconventional Artistry and Made In Digital. London is the capital city of England and the UK. With a population of over 7 million, London is Europe’s largest and most densely populated city with 4,679 people per square km (Office of National Statistics 2002). The London region is made up of 32 London Boroughs and the Corporation of London. 17% of the UK’s unemployed people live in London. The rate of homelessness in London is twice as high as the rest of England with over 50,000 homeless households. According to the Communities and Local Government estimates in June 2003 about half of the people sleeping rough in England were in London. The main reasons for the high levels of homelessness in London are growth of the housing market and ongoing population increase in the capital. Although wages are generally higher in the capital, they are unable to keep up with rising house prices. The demand for housing is increasing and the supply of affordable housing is decreasing. The Mayor of London has introduced a London Plan which calls for half of new homes in London to be affordable, to help reduce the levels of homelessness in the capital. Source: Homeless London

I only put this up for a Larf. / It does however demonstrate that we Brits are made of sterner stuff. As Richard pointed out below we may also be noted for our little eccentricities. So here he is surrounded by windbreaks and wreathed in smoke. Every so often a burger would be proffered and the car window would fly down; burger grabbed by a member of the incumbent family then the window would fly up again. (Mostly to prevent smoke inhalation).

He tells me that I have won 3rd prize in the Wales Rich In Beauty Showcase Round Two which was for any landscape image anywhere in the world, not just Wales, with my image Over the sea to skye The third prize is a A4 laminated image provided by Jell, called “Blossom”. I’ve no idea what it looks like but I can’t wait to find out and would like to thank the Wales group for organising the competition and making it available to all, the judges for the hard work that must have gone into it and to Jell for the prize

This owl is the largest of the three. They must have learned to fly short distances because they were about twenty feet from there nest. The two smaller ones were together in a different tree and much higher up than the bigger one. No sign of the parents.
