Took this at the stop lights (obviously!!) ..up the coast going through Surfers Paradise….it sumed up my impresssions of the place rather well!!!.

Honda fans eat your heart out! VTEC aka Variable Timing Electronic Control is a system developed by Honda to increase the volumetric efficiency of a four-stroke engine. When a predetermined RPM is reached, a solenoid is actuated which allows oil pressure to lock pins which binds the high RPM cam follower to the low rpm ones. The high-lift profile enables the valves to opens further and for a longer time, thus increase the volumetric efficiency of the engine.
