“I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now / From up and down, and still somehow / It’s cloud illusions I recall / I really don’t know clouds at all” Joni Mitchell – Both Sides Now Clouds fascinate me and they can make a simply scene spectacular. They often play a special role in my photography and are a key element in each of the photos in this calendar. The backdrop to the clouds featured in the cover picture Cloud Illusions” is the *Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa and not the sky! I captured the scene at around 10,000 metres above the sea on a commercial flight to Tenerife in the Canary Islands:-) 1 Sold!!! Although difficult to choose this is probably my favourite of the Outer Hebrides, combining a bit of everything – hills, beaches, cliffs and coastline. A friendly, welcoming community. This is dedicated to Gloria and Don Alick at Burnside Croft who made us feel so at home on both our visits!
