One from the same shoot I did for 9, 10 never sleep again. Have used it as part of self promo stuff and called it; ‘Like Valentino with a hand grenade’ (Skid Row lyrics) because I have always felt that that line has summed me up pretty well, as a designer as well as my personal style. :D
An original pastel painting. Original artwork size- 45cm x 67cm. 2007 It seems the larger the animal, the more docile and appealing they are. What would the world be without these magnificent creatures…...great and small! / These two are probably old enough to start training as a team in harness. / Sold at exhibition :) Has been featured in ‘Everything Draft Horse’, ‘Equine Art and Photography’, Traditional Equine Art’ and ‘All Pets Great and Small’ groups.
Another Clydie. There were about a dozen of them in this paddock in Mansfield and I used a roll or two of film on them. From these photos I have composed many drawings and paintings. / Water colour pencils on mount board. Size approx. 25cm x 34cm. 2003 Sold. Has been featured in the ‘Equine Art and Photography’ and ‘Creative Cards’ groups.
This was taken on my front deck early in the morning with heavy fog leaving dew on a cobweb.

Featured in National Parks of the World – Dec 2008. Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. Captured today… I jumped in my trusty old Toyota Landcruiser (Barry) and headed bush to chase this spectacular storm front. It was such an exhilarating adventure! We have now enjoyed several weeks of ongoing storm activity here in the desert. Today’s wild and rainy storms began at around eight this morning. Throughout the day, storm front after storm front has rolled over the desert, bringing with them heavy rain and exhilarating electrical activity. We have endured hail today, strong winds and even a lightning strike which sparked a small blaze in the National Park. And all of these incredible storm sessions were punctuated by bright sunshine and warm temperatures. Wow, I am thoroughly exhausted from following the weather today. I think I have storm-photographing-fatigue. / (A new member of the Elite Storm Chaser Squadron…) Uluru, Central Australia. Monday 24th November 2008. I took this on the way home after a Christmas Concert by the Big Rock Singers and just had to share it right away. We have had a dump of six to eight inches of heavy wet snow lasting all day, causing me to shovel several driveways several times today. However, the absolute beauty of freshly fallen snow mixed with blue Christmas lights makes up for any of the day’s toils. Hope you like it.
Fell in deep like with Jake the Clydesdale on a visit to a working farm. He got bored after the carrots ran dry and wandered off in disgust. So, here he is, set free on a beach & processed with love. A tribute to all the pretty horses and the peace they breathe into our battered souls.
at-at in love

The snow last weekend was almost continual but light … creating an amazing, fantasy land of subtle color and soft light. As I shot this particular image, the sun was just appearing across the lake on the trees in the distance. It played hide and seek the whole time I was out. Fortunately, the winds were calm … so the branches were filled with snow. To console those who mourn in Zion, / To give them beauty for ashes, / The oil of joy for mourning, / The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; / That they may be called trees of righteousness, / The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. ~Isaiah 61:3 Stock Credits: / Sky, Woman, and Texture by http://night-fate-stock.deviantart.com/ / Rose by http://larafairie-stock.deviantart.com/

Yesterday we went fishing, all eleven of us and some friends. At one stage I asked Johnny (11) to carry Reilly (10 months) back to where we were picnicing. This is so typical of how Johnny carries Reilly most of the time, and Reilly just loves it. Can’t think why. ( : Anyway, I’m just glad to have captured this moment, their relationship continuously delights me.
