11th installment of the pingpong colab. / Aaaahhh…. finally finished it. Its ridiculous how much time I’ve spent doing this, probably the longest of all Lookout series. Lookout!: Evil Emerges 5. Lookout!: Battlefield 6. Lookout!: Not Over Yet 7. Lookout!: Beyond the Gate 8. Lookout!: Is the battle over? 9. Lookout!: Greetings! Friend or foe 10. I’m really glad I was able to complete this image. It’s one I’ve been working on for quite some time now and almost scrapped it a number of times. I actually made the decision to trash this and I’d begun working on a new piece but I couldn’t move on until this one was finished. So I went back to it and all of a sudden it just started working for me seemingly out of nowhere. It’s ironic that the decision to scrap the work was all I needed to fuse my brain into making it work. art plays little tricks on me sometimes. :)
I had an opportunity that I clearly used to my advantage…...while up at Lake Nora over the weekend, a dragonfly in distress and nearly dead happened my way; he spent the good part of an hour letting me photograph him before he gathered up enough strength and then flew off, only to land about 10 feet from me, but out in the water…........I made a wish for him and I know his spirit is watching over all the others as they diligently go about their designated tasks…...I had a very good feeling though as if he was put right there in front of me for this reason…......I got quite a few shots of his entirety, but I enjoy this one more…........ / ______ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Three seagulls in flight – composite image
I wonder if there’s a Heaven / Do the beautiful winged angels fly / Above the woods and sunlit gardens / Of their Utopia in the sky And sing with the larks in the morning / Their carols of love and of joy / Long years ago I dreamt such things of great beauty / when I was an innocent boy Back then I was nearer to Heaven / Far nearer than I am today / Since I have lost the innocence of childhood / Heaven from me seems much further away I wonder if there is a Heaven / Do birds sing on the blossoming trees / And do the rivers from their homes in the mountains / Sing their way to the Heavenly seas. crouching model by lamanouche.
