Soaring to a celestial kingdom, Heaven cries for all of those who will never open their eyes, never see love, never know true happiness…. Heaven’s Cry took 7 hours, which is about 3 hours longer than my average amount of time on a piece of work….the wings alone took 3 hours….pencil on bristol board, i am very happy with the results….

Collaboration —A huge Thank You to Maddy Allen for her artistic skills. I had this idea of adding a blue neon light to my Corella image and I asked Maddy for her help and this is the end result.

I was thinking of Julie Langford’s dear mother as I worked on this image, and I kept thinking how we all must undergo metamorphosis as we make the transition from this world where light is exterior to the next world where the interior light of our Maker can finally show through when we shed our caterpillar casing and spread our butterfly wings in the new life.

I had an opportunity that I clearly used to my advantage…...while up at Lake Nora over the weekend, a dragonfly in distress and nearly dead happened my way; he spent the good part of an hour letting me photograph him before he gathered up enough strength and then flew off, only to land about 10 feet from me, but out in the water…........I made a wish for him and I know his spirit is watching over all the others as they diligently go about their designated tasks…...I had a very good feeling though as if he was put right there in front of me for this reason…......I got quite a few shots of his entirety, but I enjoy this one more…........ / ______ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. I layered several images in photoshop CS3 and blended them into one image. /

OK – the story goes - I desperately wanted to paint a new mandala (the one I’m doing right now) but I had two canvasses sitting there blank. So I told myself I had to finish both of them before I could start on the big medicine wheel mandala… And next thing I know, there are two celtic crosses emerging in tandem from the canvas, with seals and otters playing in the mandala centre. The circle contains and is undending, the cross both reaches out and marks a specific, finite point at the centre. With mine, the circles represent the moon and the cross, the sun. The cross reaches out to the four directions, the four corners of the earth. The vertical and the horizontal come together in the joining of forces – Heaven and Earth… The seals symbolize imagination, creativity, paying attention to the inner voice, protection, dreaming, love, connection to the deep feelings and rhythms. They are our connection to the great mother ocean. In acrylic on canvas with jewelled and metallic overlays… The original is for sale. Please note full copyright applies. The holy city of Safed, perched on a mountain top in the upper Galilee, conjures many images to all lovers of the city. The romantic flavor of narrow cobblestone lanes and ancient synagogues fills one’s lungs with a new spirit. The rusty old houses with there domed roofs clearly identifies the city with the mysterious past of the Holy Land. The history of Safed, in real terms, dates back only five hundred years to the beginning of the 16th century. As if out of nowhere, Jews from near and far settled there – as if answering a divine call – and built the largest Jewish settlement in Palestine. Furthermore, great scholars and mystics opened yeshivos in Safed, being an added incentive to other young men of wisdom to settle there. In one sense, the last half of the 16th century was the pinnacle of Torah grandeur which the city experienced. The author of the Shulchan Aruch (Jewish Code of Laws), Rabbi Joseph Karo, sat at the head of the rabbinical court while compiling his compendium of Jewish Law. At the same time, another saintly man by the name of Rabbi Isaac Luria revealed the mystical side of the Torah, called Kabalah. Together these men and their disciples opened new pathways to the Torah which embedded an invisible holiness in the very rocks of the city. Today everyone who strolls through the city is caught off guard by the hidden spirit of Safed which vibrates full of life after so many generations. Not only newcomers are surprised, but even weathered old comers as well. Homage to Safed. Moore / and myself for the group , Resurrection of the Exquisite Corpse _There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. / If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. verses . 40-44of Corinthians Chapter 15 An Explanation of how this is done a tough one for sure, this is what we had to do. This work is a work where you take *one inch only of someones work and “make a picture to tie into that one inch” I made the whole first picture, and then sent her through email , one inch of it. / here is what she saw.. she then did the bottom half of what you see, I then sent her through email the top half and I did complete top half. she then Blended in the works to erase some of the horizontal distractions.. this is my complete picture, which I will share at another time F.A.
