  • This picture was taken at a Bed & Breakfast at Murray Bridge, South Australia of a Wolseley 444. It is a rusted out beauty, and a reminder of how cars used to be.

  • Taken from the Hotel Westminster whilst on a Mid Winter Break. The image was taken late afternoon before the traffic on the Promenade de Anglais grinds to a halt in the rush to get home.

  • Sunset outside of Pahrump, Nevada, USA. It was our second day driving from San Francisco and we were fairly eager to get to Las Vegas when this amazing lightshow presented itself in the rearview mirror. Needless to say, we stopped the car. A couple of days later, I learned that the portable hard-drive we were using had falsely indicated my photos from that day had been saved but actually HADN’T been. Fortunately, I make a habit of always keeping a dozen or so favourite images from every day on my cards just in case anything happens to my backup devices. This was one of four shots of that sunset I’d kept. (Phew!) This photo was originally posted under the title “Pahrump Sunset”, I’ve revived it as a result of ECGardners favworks challenge, to post five of my personal favourite shots. This is a favourite, because I know I’d always have memories of that sunset even if ALL the images had been lost, but damnit I’m glad it survived!

  • Unophotoshopped image, take directly off my camera. / HOW? / Moving the camera nice and close to a car healight, searching for nice reflections. Once i found the basketball ring i got my brother to hang off it.. / :)

  • At the Yankton Riverboat Days every August there is a huge car show. This is an old restored car that had a really beautiful color and body design. I just loved the headlight. Now I really wish I had paid attention to what kind of car this was but I was being a girl and only noticed the beautiful turquoise color with the wonderful teardrop shaped headlight. While I am pretty good at identifying the muscle cars of the sixties and seventies (my hubby owned a ‘72 Barracuda in HS), the owner of this colorful exterior and unique body style is unknown to me. /

  • Though this car wasn’t in the best of shape, it reminded me of when I was a little boy, listening to my dad recount his own childhood as we walked through the Muddy River Run on a warm summer afternoon every year.

  • This image was taken at my late great granddad’s farm in Monroe County, Georgia in Metro Atlanta. My great uncle owns the farm now. Well, he has a lot of old cars all over the place including an old rusty 1953 Cadillac Eldorado. He also raise huge hogs. This image is an old rusty 1960’s Chevy truck that has been sitting there for a long time. When I saw the truck, I decided to take some interesting pictures of it. This is one of the pictures I took. I used my Nikon D70s.
