Depression and anxiety affect 1 in 5 Australians and can be as severe, incapacitating and life threatening as other physical ailments. Reaching out for help is often difficult. With kind thanks to Justin for modelling for this image. Taken at Hallett Cove, South Australia

Morning Light World English Bible / Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. From the ‘Connection Series’, this is a pencil drawing, coloured with aquacolour crayons on paper… i have played around with this quite a bit in photoshop also, applying layers and more colour to enrich the overall look When i ponder this, it gives me a feeling of hope, like after the mourning, there is morning and the sun comes out again….. It’s all about our connection with nature and other lofty things :)
Interesting day this was, 30 knot cool winds, heavy showers, hot sunshine with 80% humidity, and a nice high tide to create these beautiful explosions!! I havn’t seen the ocean quite this rough in a long time, even when cyclone hamish was off the coast. Canon 50D, 21mm. Available very large!
Right place, right time for this shot! Wanted to shoot the Devils Kitchen in the Noosa Heads National Park, but the sky didn’t agree with landscape photography on this afternoon. Hanging around shooting my favorite subjest, eagles, this offshore rainstorm came rolling in. The setting sun came out, and supplied this wonderful scene! By far the most illuminated rainbow I have ever seen, it was so bright.. Canon 50D, 10mm, Available Large, and definately best viewed Large! Noosa Heads National Park, Queensland, Australia.
This old tree was perched right on the edge of the cliff face at “The Devils Kitchen” in Noosa National Park, Queensland, Australia. Taken on the same day as Dramatic Nature looking further North about 30 minutes from sunset. Canon 50D, 10mm, slight cropping.. Available Large, and best viewed Large!
As I was taking a few shots of this beautiful scenery in the vertical format, this beautiful Australasian Gannet flew right past me. I could have almost stuck my hand out and touched him, incredable experience! I guess he didn’t see me, as I was on the edge of the cliff with a shrub to my left. I’m glad I was shooting when he flew past, and on the +-0 stop frame too!! Canon 50D, 10mm. Devils Kitchen, Noosa Heads National Park, Queensland, Australia. Bird is an Australasian Gannet, these beautiful coastal birds are a bird of prey, and dive sometimes from large heights for school bait fish.
Another of the Noosa Heads wonders, this rock refuses to give way to the power of the elements! How did this one piece of rock survive so long, while the rest of it crumpled away with time? Found this secret little “Pebble” beach tucked away in Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. As far as I can see, this beach is not named, and near impossible to get to. My 50D has a few marks on it getting here, but luckily my arms have taken most of the hits… Hehe! Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large, and best viewed large!
I know not many people find this beach in Noosa Heads National Park, Queensland, Australia. Every time I visit here, there is not one footprint on the beach. This is the same beach as The Immortal Soldier image, shot on the same day. The unused path that leads to this beach is hard to find, and the incline can be up to 80%, and very slippery. Sometimes sliding is the best way down :) I can sit here for hours, it’s so tranquil and unspoilt. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large and best viewed Large!

let us pray for the good men now raging war / against vicious tremendous old sea / under moonlit mile sparkle dust decoration and let us pray for the tattered old hands / wrinkled and shrivelled by time and by tears / weeping gently at the daily swell and let us pray that the mighty strata / safely points its layered mass west into / bitter chills and tower block waves and let us pray the callous sea claims not a life / unforeseen, unexpected, unheard / in the unkempt space beyond visible horizon and let us pray their return is as swift as their exit / bringing catch to make pockets fall heavy / and crowds of well-wishers to line harbour walls and let us pray that the efforts of trawlermen / are rightly commended on plate and on deck / and on lips served by the call of the sea —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Downpatrick Head, Co. Great atmosphere around these high cliffs on the West Coast of Ireland, wish I’d seen it when the sea was really stormy and pounding in.
Sun Storm was shot at the same location and on the same shoot as Storm Passing Crescent. The light was sensational. The passing storm had been replaced by bright sunshine as the foreboding clouds hung offshore and contemplated where to dump next. On reflection, I could have gone up to f8 and sped up the shot, and perhaps should have. Lesson learnt by the end of the 6 day shoot. Going to do a series of the Noosa National Park in Queensland. This place is totally beautiful, and so natural! The park is loaded with hiking tracks, with some unmarked and quite rugged. I can’t think of anything better than being alone and at one with nature in it’s purest form. This rock pool, not easily accessable as it took about 20 minutes of rock jumping and some climbing. I find the best places are where no one can easily access :) Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. Canon 50D, 10mm. Available Large and best viewed Large!

The beautiful Granite Bay in Noosa National Park. The more I visit this place, the more I fall in love with the area. There is always birds flying around, beautiful rock pools, just waiting to be discovered. Some of the larget pools make a lovely smooth base pool too :) Granite Bay, Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. Canon 5D Mk II, 35mm, 16:9 crop.
