HDR image of a Steinway Piano at a friends’ home. She’s quite an accomplished artist herself, she painted the images behind the piano in Tuscany, Italy. It is almost a shame that this instument has not been played in years. This is a re-post of my Silent Night image, this one without the black border. I had taken this to work one day, matted and framed and sold three copies of it that day ….. Taken with Nikon D200 and Tokina 12-24mm lens. Australian navy warship HMAS Warramunga, docked today (29/3/08) at Cunningham Pier, Geelong. / I love seeing anything that may be in the ‘mega structure’ category, so when I learned this was coming to town I had to go check her out.

Hosier Lane in Melbourne, Australia. A result of 9 images (3 HDR’s) done in Photomatix. Merged the HDR’s in photoshop using automate > Photomerge. BEST VIEWED LARGER This shot taken from MIlsons Point directly under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the lights and skyline of the city on the opposite shore. Taken around midnight the waters of Sydney are lit with colours of the rainbow. For visitors to Sydney , you can walk across to Milsons point, or catch train trip to Milson’s Point station. This shot was taken with no filters with a Nikon D300 and Nikon 18-200mm lens securely mounted on a Manfrotto Tripod, using three bracketed exposures which were then processed using Photomatix HDR Software. So I know there’s gotta be other people out there excited about the release of the new Batman Movie The Dark Knight, or is it just me? This is a tribute to possibly one of my favourite movies! This is also one of my first really serious attempts at creating some digital artwork in Photoshop. This is the result of me having a lot of time, sitting at home sick when I should be at work. The question is can you see Batman?? For this I started off with one of my pics of Melbourne, Australia from Southbank which was a HDR from 3 exposures. I then added in bats, flood lights, batman, the moon etc. and then once again a lot of tinkering in Lightroom to finetune :) This image has had over 5000 views Sales 1 Mounted Print 1 Poster Click here for my other images of Melbourne

The grand staircase, this time shot with only available light/mirk for a more unsettling ‘Silent Hill’ look. Just a little light tone mapping to avoid burn-out and retain shadow detail, otherwise this is all natural – including the small scrap of very blue wallpaper in the bottom left.

Pitt Street looking south towards Park Street. A little bit of info: / Pitt Street is Australia’s second biggest street located in the central business district of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Pitt St is famous for being home to the Pitt St Mall district, which begins at the intersection of Pitt St and Market St. Pitt St Mall is the most expensive street in Australia and 7th most expensive street in the whole world. Australia’s biggest retailer, Westfields will begin construction of a shopping centre on Pitt St Mall, a first of its kind in an Australian CBD. The complex will be a large high rise tower with office use above the shopping levels. The street is one way (Northbound Only) from George Street to Pitt Street Mall and (Southbound Only) from Circular Quay to Pitt Street Mall. It runs through the entire city centre from Circular Quay in the north to Redfern south, although a substantial stretch of it was removed when the Sydney Central railway station was built. It has many different shops, especially along the Pitt Street Mall, as well as various residential and office buildings. Port Noarlunga Jetty. / South Australia. A combination of all my favourite techniques: / Wide angle, long exospure, HDR and night photography. Canon 50D. / 10-20mm (at 10mm) HDR – 3 Bracketed Exposures (up to 30 seconds) blended manually in CS3. I say this is one of the best vantage points for views of Sydney Harbour and the bridge, and not often is the harbour surface so still that it reflects the span of the bridge and lights so well !
