Went down to the old Monash Freeway for a few light trails shots at dusk just 2 minutes from my house. I’ve always wanted to get some really cool light trails shots and this I was real happy with :) After looking at a few I wanted to do something a bit different with it. HDR done in Photomatix and went for a Direct Positive look in AdobeLightroom. Exposures were 13 seconds, 3.2 seconds and 30 seconds f 7.1 at ISO 100. Post processing included hdr at +/- 2 evals in Photomatix from a single hand held image. A very faint amount of texture layer added in Photoshop. Newport is located on the shores of Pittwater the entrance to the Hawkesbury river. It’s a area I call home , about 30 Kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Its a place of beaches,bays,inlets where you can enjoy boating,swimming, sitting on the shore watching the sun rise and fall. For those experiencing a Northern winter this is a southern summer. Best on Full Size Although the day started out pretty dismally, the sun eventually came out at The Keystone State – Pennsylvania shoot at Old Bedford Village, Bedford, Pennsylvania, October 24, 2009. I took this image inside one of the many reconstructed buildings on site as the skies were going from rainy to sunny. Camera used was the tripod-mounted Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens, uv filter attached. Shutter was 1/2, aperture f/32, iso 640. Post processing included HDR from a single image, duplicated twice to evals of +/-2 in Photoshop. Light Orton and textures applied as well.
