Where do you go when you fall asleep? I have also received the prestigious nomination from the ‘pay it forward’ group, from Mark Jones with the following words.. “I have a number of favorites, but this one by Basia is so Stephen King like and as I love working with light to create an image, it inspires me to try it, somehow. Dreamscape / It leaves you asking, “what is behind the door”. Sold: 1 x laminate + 1 x matt print + 2 x cards

The Old General Hospital… / / It was built in 1897 and was home to Newfoundlands first operating room. The hospital has been closed and condemed for many many years now. Rumor has it that many dark and hideous things were done behind its doors, things that are better left forgotten… Only memories are left now that can haunt its dark and terrifying hallways. / / Cinderellas wicked step sisters would be in their glory having her scrub these floors. / / Canon Rebel / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography. / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / More in my “Darkerside of Life Series”... / / / / / /
Some light grafitti action at a burnt out house in Enoggera, Brisbane. / Approx 2 minute exposure to allow time to draw the ghosts.
Photos taken by me, combined in photoshop with false hdr and other techniques…too many to remember.
Detail:
Misty haunting morning this morning, sitting in a pine plantation at Mt Burr in the Limestone Coast area of South Australia. Last hints of fog lifting as the sun rose towards a clear blue sky. Canon 400D 18-55 lens with ND4 filter. Three shot HDR converted in Photomatix and cropped to size. Damn it was cold!!!!!!!!!!
This was taken at Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, where the mill is in the image is a small village called Godmanchester.. Took quite a while to do this but im pretty happy with how it turned out so was well worth the effort :-)
Perfect for Halloween
Location: Bodie Ghost Town / Highway 395 / California / Technique: HDR (High Dynamic Range) Historical “Bodie Ghost Town” is an old mining town off of highway 395. Till this day folks that visit Bodie have sworn sightings in this famous landmark. Murder was not uncommon during the gold rush days and rumor has it that ghosts still linger the dirt streets of Bodie. This picture was taken at the same place as The Long Way Home but about 7 months apart. Best viewed LARGE
8 sec exposure, f11 with nd8 filter.
Out early this morning to watch the sun rise through the fog in a pine plantation at Mt Burr – Limestone Coast South Australia. Certainly worth the cold to see the beauty as the sun tried to force its way into the forest. Canon 400D 18 – 55 with ND4 filter. Processed in Photoshop CS3.

I’ve used three of my photographs to produce this image. I used Corel to add textures, layers, airbrushing etc.
I made this trying to make sense of a nightmare that has haunted me for many years. I have decided this is My Personal Hell, as I wake in tears and am down for several days afterwards as a rule. / I wont be responding to your comments right away, as my workload has been added to for the next 2 days, but know I truly appreciate you all. Hugs to my RB family! Vonne
LET ME JUST SAY FIRST OFF THAT I AM VERY VERY PROUD OF THIS IMAGE! LOL / I WORK AS A PHOTOGRAPHER IN A HOTEL TAKING CANDID PICTURES OF THE GUESTS BEING ACTIVE. I TOOK THIS OF A LITTLE GIRL PLAYING IN THE POO. SHE HAD GONE UNDERTHE WATER AND I STOOD WITH MY CAMERA FOCUSED ON THE WATER ABOVE WHERE SHE WOULD EMERGE. I MANAGED TO CAPTUER HER HEAD THE SPLIT SECOND IT BURST FORTH FROM THE WATER. THIS IMAGE HAS NOT BEEN PHOTOSHOP-ED AND TEH ONLY THING DONE TO IT TO BRING FORTH THE DETAIL IN THE WATER AND THE EYES WAS TO ENHANCE THE SHARPNESS AND A TOUCH OF CONTRAST AND SATURATION THEN WITH A SLIGHT BLUE TINT TO BRING THE DETAIL OF THE WATER INTO SHARPER FOCUS, WHICH IN TURN GIVES THE ICE CHILLED LOOK. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL JUST TWEEKED TO ENHANCE THE DETAIL. / TAKEN WITH A NIKON D60 USING 55-200mm
