I don’t blame this turkey for turning ones back on Christmas if I were a Turkey so would I ….... The Domestic turkey is a descendant of the Wild Turkey. While large domesticated turkeys are generally unable to fly, the smaller wild turkeys can fly extremely well. This allows them to perch in the branches of trees. Turkey poults (chicks) are unable to fly for the first two weeks after they hatch.

This was nice to spot on a Passionfruit leaf…some eggs hatching baby caterpillars out of them! I think I have the Butterfly whose eggs these are, I spent all day watching these 4-5 beautiful butterflies flit around 3 full flowering red Bottlebrush trees right next to this Passionfruit vine… / Here is the type of Butterfly I think may have laid these eggs..titled Yellow, Orange & White Butterfly… / at Ravenshoe, Far Nth Queensland, Australia with Canon PowerShot A480

On our walks in Wynyard today, we found two duck eggs. I reckon they were hatched last Spring about a year ago.

While we were still at Lawyer Creek we, well, Alex discovered these frogs eggs! Not sure what sort of frog they will be but these were in a separate little pool of water and there was alot of them. This bark abstract brings to mind the hatching / of a prehistoric bird who having broke out / of this shell reveals what has yet to emerge from the cracked remains. I perceive the head of another prehistoric bird that has not yet left the hatching site. Other creatures seem to have inhabited the remains like the sleeping monkey in the center of this piece. The texture, colors and / images reveal other creatures yet to begin their journey independent of their mother’s protection. / I imagine the monkey will be startled when he awakes to find the disparate members of his incongruent “family.” What do you perceive inside this cavernous shell?
