  Our six calendars arrived today at work, and by golly are they good quality, having had a sample sent to me earlier, I had some idea of what to expect, but seeing you own shots in glorious colour, fantastic. We showed them off to all at work, and got plenty of interest (5 of the 6 are different designs). Anyway, I wasn’t fast enough at home, and four had already been wrapped for Xmas, so here are a few shots I thought I’d share, I’m so impressed and thrilled by the quality, as always RB has exceed my expectations.

  I just want to publicly post a VERY BIG THANK-YOU to Camerashy, (Greg), also a member of RB, who through gentle criticism, honest opinion, and gentle persuasion, has opened up the world of photography even further for me! / Greg’s help has given me hope and encouragement, has dramatically changed the way I view my own photography, and also the way I view others’ work! / I feel my work has greatly improved with the support and guidance given by Greg!   I had the fortunate opportunity to attend the launch yesterday for Paris Kyne, master milliner. The show was entitled Just a Moment and held at the Portable Iron Houses in South Melbourne. The theme was Distorted Fairytales which featured characters from 7 fairy tales such as Rapunzel, the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, Rumplestiltskin, Cinderella, the mother from Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty and a witch. Stunning outfits were supplied by Black Rose including the Masters of Fashion’s 2007 award winning spring outfit and intricate jewellery by Jeanette Maree. Paris is a really top bloke and extremely passionate with what he does! Full gallery here

If you where an onlooker on a shoot with Alex and I you would wonder why we hardly talk when we’re right in the middle of taking pictures. Well, we don’t need to communication, “stand this way, look that way, etc”. We know each others every move. Thus is the benefit of working with a muse. / Alas, these days must come to an end.   I just like to say thanks to Ginger for purchasing Blue Door. This was a wonderful surprise. In Feng Shui “Doors” represent opening the door to new opportunities and good fortune. So I hope the card brings good fortune for you Ginger. To be quiet honest I ad no expectations of selling anything for a while here as I haven’t been promoting myself properly as yet. So this sale was really extra special to me. :-) During September and October, I will be holding a 2 month joint exhibition in the art space at my local coffee shop. It will feature some of the photographs from our Venice trip, masks that we have hand painted, canvas work and a full size woman in masquerade costume. So offline I am very busy at the moment. I hope to share some photos soon. So heartfelt thanks to Ginger for her kind purchase. It is not the actual purchase that matters – but the subject you chose. Blue Door ... Being an aquarian – it’s a sign of good things to come ;-)

  I realise that most of this is old hat now – but I’m still really bummed majority of my images have been ‘canned’ and are no longer up for sale due to the new criteria. Having shot for some time in a smaller size format means that most of my images cannot be manipluted to meet the new requirements. I can however say that after having been at opening night and seeing the higher res images in living colour; I can appreciate what you are stiving for. But unfortunatly my 6MP camera is no longer going to cut it for anything bigger than small =(((.
