Traveling North of Victoria ,as I often do, I make sure I use the back roads as much as possible ,and usually it never disappoints me ,just like this paddock near Lancefield,and although I manipulated the image in ps the essence of it is all there !!!

Years later I’d discover that this was Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee is a very important person in my life. As someone who is Eurasian he made it cool to have Chinese blood. I’ve alway loved everything about him his moves, his yelps, his wisdom. He always talked about having white belt mentality no matter, what level you are within martial arts,always be an eternal student. I take those pearls of wisdom and use them in everything that I do. From my series World from Above. I am always fascinated by patterns like this created by farmers when laying out their fields. This one is dedicated to my mother, who loves this view! Taken from a commercial plane shortly before landing at Munich airport. This is pretty typical of villages and countryside of this part of Lower Bavaria. Nikon D200, Sigma 18-200mm. Post-pro in CS2. just a shot of last night’s ‘harvest moon’ taken through a heavy haze of woodsmoke (from woodstoves)...this was taken with a little Nikon P80 point and shoot, with it’s 18x zoom…I don’t know why I can’t get any decent moon shots with my Canon T1i and a 270mm lens (15x, supposedly…), all I get is a bright blur, auto or manual focus….sigh…oh well… 10/4/09 / Centreville, Md. Lavender stalk taken at Lavender farm “Pure Lavande” in St-Eustache, Quebec in September 2009 / This was from the second crop as the biggest one is in July but unfortunately missed that one. Aiming to go back next year… / Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens / “The plant is grown commercially for extraction of lavender oil from the flowers. This oil is used as an antiseptic and for aromatherapy as well as for making other products such as moisturizers , hand creams. Lavender is also used extensively as herbal filler inside sachets used to freshen linens and discourage moths from closets and drawers. Dried lavender flowers have become recently popular used as confetti for tossing after a wedding.: / ~Wikipedia

Located on Cape Cod this cranberry farm is getting ready to harvest this years crop! The bog is flooded with water and the cranberries float to the top. They are then scooped up by gathering them in large circles then a machine pulls them in. Over 50 cranberries ready to harvest!
