  • Model – Invisible Rose Up up and away. Inspired by Mary Poppins, the author of which [P.L. Travers] the model actually cared for in her later years – something I didn’t know til she was standing on the rooftop telling me as I shot her. Freaky. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – LeEvil Marathon 11 sets / 8 hour shoot with this lovely lass. She froze her tooshie off, but was an absolute trooper. / Paint splash from Google, Dark wouldn’t let me paint his wall. / Prom Dress skirt and Sophia corset are by Dragon’s Blood Creations of Adelaide. / MUA/Hair by Mishkamink. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – MiserysMalice Don’t feed the models ;) Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – Rosie… and Betsy In case you haven’t already realised it, my biggest influence is Pink Floyd. / Storm Thorgerson, you are my hero. Fun fact: I hate Australian summers – in which this was shot – and I hate Nikon D70 dslr’s that don’t do what you want them to… not to mention immature brats for assistants. / Oh for something blunt and heavy and a place to hide the bodies ;) Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas Out of interest, is that a group here dedicated to surreal or dreamy imagery?

  • Model – Tayla Louise Pentacon Six TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / Shot in Victoria’s Dandenong Ranges back in January during a ridiculously bad Summer. But then she got to spend half the time in the water or the shade whilst I sweated my face off and went purple and DIED, so who says I don’t take care of my models? / Alternative version of this image can be seen on my dA site here Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Don’t feed the models. Model – Halohid / MUA/Hair/Bling – Mishkamink Alternative crop can be seen on my deviantART account I think I like this fashion stuff… Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – Meluxine The height of winter, she’s laying on wet frozen ground, in a vintage dress and my ugg boots, full to the brim with Hungry Jacks, watching me dance like a crazy person with a head cold around her when suddenly the sun breaks through right at the perfect moment, and she manages to pull of that look like it’s as easy as microwave popcorn. / This girl rocks. Canon 40D + available [overcast] light. / The film versions are pretty cool too. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – the utterly lovely Lauren Vickers Note to self: If shooting in the hotel who’s namesake is a blonde bimbo ex-con heiress, barricade the door to the Spa – that way, management types won’t barge in and interrupt you by kicking you out halfway through a shoot before you get the shot you actually want. Men. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model/MUA – Atrophy / Dress by Howard Showers I heart pools. I never had one, which might explain why I like throwing clothed models in them for the sake of art. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – the lovely Lauren Vickers. / This girl is seriously one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. And for a sydney mainstream model that’s just plain unheard of ; ) MUA/Hair – Becca + Jacxx @ Prophecy Makeup A total fluke shot, we were walking back from the location and we passed through Waymouth Street in the city where they were doing construction on the street. The guys were already gobsmacked, so I simply asked and they were more than happy to oblige. / It was funny though, they all pulled out their phones and started taking photos of us, because they said their mates would never believe them otherwise. / Thanks boys, you guys rule. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – Rosie Skilbeck Shot on location at the edge of Lake Learmonth on the outskirts of Ballarat. / Enjoy it kiddies, I ain’t never going back. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Models – Atrophy and Nick Ivka One off shot. She burst through the water in one fell swoop and nommed his con’s. Had to be captured, for the sake of humanity. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model – Halohid Best viewed whilst listening/watching the title song by Pulp. Got a bit of a Lynch thing going on… Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • This was actually just a bit of fun. I had the pleasure of being invited to sit in on a shoot by Melbourne’s Peter Koulsen aka Koukei back in March, and Sydney’s own Lynn & Lyndall of XLOX were the hair stylists on the day. During downtime Lynn [aka Cherubicka] started playing around with some lengths of red ribbon, and being the asian pixie of unbearable cuteness I had to get some snaps of her doing so. This is one of them. Look closely and you can make out various things in amongst the swirls. I don’t know why, but this picture has always made me smile ever since. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Ok, so this isn’t official, just a bit of fun on my part ;) I’m a MASSIVE Storm Thorgerson fan, the guy is my hero. / Look him up, you’ll understand. / stormthorgerson.com This is actually an image that will be used in David Lampard’s production of ‘Elegies: A Song Cycle’.. well, the balloons that is. The pig I added purely because I thought it smacked of Floyd, and it just had to be done. So here, just for you guys, is the silly version. The real pig-less version can be seen on my dA account here And if you’re interested in getting tickets to the production, please follow that link to the deviantART version as all the info is listed there. Digital composite of several shots taken at the same time as the balloons were released. Took a bloody long time to edit, but there are no repeats and it’s all my own work, save for the pig ;) Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas Oh and Mr Gilmour, if you’re watching, my rates are verrrrrry reasonable ;)

  • Model – Amanda Von Lily / MUA/Lights – Brent Leideritz One from the vaults. / Early 2007, you wouldn’t have seen this anywhere other than maybe on the Sunday Arts interview… until now. / No idea why I sat on it for so long, but hey, better late than never ;) Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Model/MUA – Danica aka Nytevision Lazy Sundays, ‘60s Starlet style. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas
