We’re the Nerd people. Our life goes around the binary system: yes/no, true/false. Our pet is the PC, we stay all the time with it. Our relationship is so great, better than Rin Tin Tin or Flipper . We have to admit it: sometime our close relationship with what you call “machines” makes us hard to communicate with other human being. But it’s not our fault, it’s only because our algorithms can’t adapt very well to the human society chaos. If the communication doesn’t work it’s a serious problem, we know that, indeed we go in panic when our internet connection goes down. There is nothing more destabilizing than not to be connected. For this reasons maybe you think that we’re cold like our silicon friends, but if you go beyond the 0 and 1 made firewall you can find a heart that beats and bleeds. So, please, love us :) All My Series: /
In computing, a keyboard is a peripheral partially modeled after the typewriter keyboard.Physically, a keyboard is an arrangement of buttons, or keys. A keyboard typically has characters engraved or printed on the keys; in most cases, each press of a key corresponds to a single written symbol. However, to produce some symbols requires pressing and holding several keys simultaneously or in sequence; other keys do not produce any symbol, but instead affect the operation of the computer or the keyboard itself. See input method editor. / A majority of all keyboard keys produce letters, numbers or signs that are appropriate for the operator’s language. Other keys can produce actions when pressed, and other actions are available by the simultaneous pressing of more than one action key. (wikipedia.org)

I created some custom brushes in Photoshop of Gears for my jewelry store that uses lots of hardware. I had the idea of putting these new brushes to use for my Redbubble account to make some cool shirts. There will be more gears and things in my shop real soon.

This was taken with my new camera Nikon Coolpix S52. I used the close up mode for this, and did very little corrections. I’m happy with the results. What do you think? Hope you like! Free light.. what an awesome idea! I bought two of those ‘shake to charge’ torch lights, and used a 30 sec exposure to ‘paint’ this still life with light. I moved into my first house a couple of weeks ago, and have a million things to do. But making photos beats the heck out of unpacking boxes! The male subconscious is clearly not a difficult thing to unravel… you start with a wooden crate filled with tools, and you end up with GIRL. :p

Some churches simply have to greatest doors! I found this one with a vivid red door in Cape May, New-Jersey, USA. Simple hardware with a beautiful patina, polished with use, on a plain bright colourful door. Finished in 6th position of Top Ten in the WARM: Reds-Oranges-Yellows challenge of the Simple by Design Group on March 8, 2009 . That one was easy, as there were only 9 entries! ;-) /

UPDATE: This building was torn down late 2008 – just a few months after taking this photo. This old building was a place I loved to go into years ago when the owner was still selling lumber and hardware. It was probably not safe to go into even then, the floor was warping and looked about the same as the outside. But it was one of those places that sticks in your mind and you think about when nostalgia comes to visit. Photo taken at Newport, PA.
Coopers Rural & Hardware Supplies at Mylor is an Adelaide Hills institution and is usually just referred to as Coopers. Coopers Rural is family owned and operated since 1892. The store is heritage listed with most of the original external structure still standing, and is one of SA’s largest grain, fodder and hardware suppliers.
Built: 1937 Restored to: 1937 Hardware stores stocked items not always available at general stores. This store was built in the town of Wostok, Alberta, by Wasyl Knysh, a semi-retired Ukrainian farmer. Mr. Knysh was an active member of his church parish and the local municipal government, and carried on these activities from the store as well. The store boasted the luxury of electric lighting, powered by a wind generator mounted on the roof. Also, it provided coal oil and gasoline for both townsfolk and farmers in the district.
