This is the Uniting Church at rural Harcourt on the Old Calder Hwy, here in Central Victoria Australia. / Built in the later part of the 19th c, this old church is located on the way to the Bendigo Goldfields. / And not far away from this church was where the notorious bushranger ‘Mad Dog’ Morgan was arrested for the first time at Barker’s Creek ( just to the south-west of town ) where he ran a slaughterhouse. / ( hdr x2 images ) / . / Click here. if you want to read the History of Harcourt… =====================

A pano from Lang’s Lookout on the top of Mount Alexander. This is my first attempt at a pano, so feel free to provide constructive criticism.
Once again a photo from Lang’s Lookout. Found this little fellow peaking out from under a rock trying to soak up the last of the days warmth. Snapped it holding the camera a arms length from me with no view finder, lucky shot.
This is another view of the railbridge, Harcourt end looking back towards Harcourt south. This is the only bridge of it’s kind in the southern hemisphere( that I’m aware of )The railway line was still operating during construction. The road was actually dug under it so this is the original Bendigo/ Melbourne line!

THESE BIG GRANITE ROCKS HAVE BEEN BLASTED OUT THE GROUND TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEW (UNFINISHED) CALDER FREEWAY, HARCOURT, CENTRAL VICTORIA. THEY HAVE BEEN PLACED HERE FOR ROADSIDE DECORATION.
This is a great view of Mount Franklin which is situated between Guildford and Daylesford in central Victoria. I took this picture along the new unfinished Calder Freeway at Harcourt. Mount Franklin is actually an old (inactive) volcano.
This is the reconstruction of the railway bridge that is going over the new calder freeway at Harcourt, central Victoria. This is the only bridge of it’s kind in the southern hemisphere ( that I am aware of) where an actual working railbridge goes over a freeway.Mind you that it is the original line.,they just dug the freeway under it! the trains were still running while the freeway was being built. WOW!!
