I realize this picture isn’t clear but there is something I have always loved about it and it is actually my screen saver. Maybe it’s because I find it looks like a painting…..I’m not sure but I’m putting it on here just in case others feel the same way and would like to enjoy it.

Looking out to sea from Whitby harbour, North Yorkshire, England on the evening of 18.05.08 This is one of my favourite shots, I like it’s simplicity, how the long exposure has given movement to the clouds and flattened out the sea.

I called this ‘HDR Sunrise’ because that was what it was!!! An amazing sight. I’ve tweaked it a bit to enhance the colours and remove some of the blue colour cast but the original tells the tale…. This time nature did the HDR – not me!! / Corio Bay in Geelong just before sunrise on a rare (lately) still morning. / Taken with my Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 12-24mm wide-angle lens
