This was taken at the same place as ‘boy alone’. I wanted to put it up because it really makes me smile and feel happy at the sheer lack on inhibition some children have – this is Abe being a conductor and singing his heart out – totally nuts!!!!! I admire this as i am and was as a child very self-conscious – so this is my tribute to those who are free-spirited!!! / (I have also put it up to put on my calender :0)) * /

Happiness is not a priviledge… it’s a right! Here’s my painting about being free to be happy, being on top of the world, being crazy… escaping to daydreams when I need a little break from it all. Mixed Media on Canvas… maybe still more work to go but the paint is so “fat” in some areas I have to stop for a while – may end up re-loading this work when I get round to doing the final touches. This was a”photo shoot” as they like to call it….between my daughter and her best friend. There were many happy silly moments between them as we were doing this and my oldest daughter kaila had her shots at this too….for a school photography project but with a much, much better camera, seems a little strange but she has a great camera and me …....her mom does not !!!! lol I chose to add this particular image, not because of It’s clarity or such but rather because their beauty and their kindred spirits were captured in a little tiny moment….as I saw it, however I am Biased and I’m sure there is room for improvement so if you have suggestions please bmail me. I recently acquired photo shop but I only know how to use image size and the burn tool lol . I think black and white photographs are difficult especially when working with two different skin tones so any suggestions are welcome in a bmail :) Thank you RB people :)

This is our pound ‘puppy’ we rescued many years ago. He shows us every day by wagging his stump just how happy he is we adopted him and gave him a home, food, clothing (yes my daughter dresses him up), a ‘sister’, lots of play and he’s claimed 5 beds for his own! Every year he wears this santa outfit for a photo (and a treat) lol

CHRISTMAS ….. / A time to open our hearts and remember what we came here for… This is my christmas card for YOU…all of you beautiful people here on Redbubble who have visited my work, whether just once, or many, many times…and made a difference to who I am…. you KNOW who you are. / My wish for you…... to find the core of what it is to be happy and at peace with your self…..and to love who you are….. because you are all beautiful, passionate, creative people who are lifting our planet with your art and your energy. And I see this shine in a unique way, in each and every one of you. Now, I create for many reasons….. but sometimes, when I am in pain, or sad, or trying to make sense of something, I create even more…...it helps me understand or heal. / Recently I uploaded several pieces of art, created at a time when I have been struggling with chronic pain from an ongoing disease in my legs and feet….. and it has threatened to bring me down and squash my spirits…I have felt the sadness, pain, loneliness and even a little fear….. I have also had to close down my art studio in Town because of this and felt a sense of “failure”.....suffice to say, I have created art out of a need to replace my pain and sadness, with a desire to overcome this and transform it to beauty and joy. And remember what I am really here for. / And you reminded me. I left my images for a day and when I returned, I saw the flood of comments and felt all the love from each of you who had viewed, and I sat in front of my computer and tears flowed down my face. I am overwhelmed and did not know how to thank you….so I decided to put up this image as my message back to you…. / How blessed am I to have a global family like you, because although I cannot physically see you, I can feel you, and your warmth, friendship and love truly does lift me up. So for your comments, your views, your wonderful energy that weaves it way into every thing I create and share on RB…... thank you….... / and for the creativity and sharing you bring, the amazing pieces of your world that come to me via this screen and thus become a part of my world to inspire and expand me…..THANK YOU. I wish you all a happy holiday season and wonderful year in 2009….may the light shine upon you ALL ways!

Of taloned mosters and reptilian mages. Of cunning wyrms and low, crawling beasts. Some tell of mute, ferocious animals, children of earth and flesh. Others proclaim sly creatures of darkness, lurking venom and cruelly slitted eyes. Yet others laud the gracefully scaled spirits of the air, the bright and majestic roaring flames, the shining talons, the clever speeches and shining hoards… This is not one of those. This is the Child of the Sea, who melds with water, and flows with the waves. This is the Daughter of Salt, shining and precious, invisible in the vast seas and yet hidden in every drop. This is the seadragon, who brings the water to life with her turbulence, creating kinspirits from the froth and foam of her passing, and from sleek shining water, and the glimmer of sunlight on a droplet forms her scales… / This is the leaping splash that startles sailors, the dancing krakenmaid flying out with the spray. Old, old and deep as the seas, resting in the dark waters before the first fish formed from her tiny kin, and young, young and new formed with every wave. Everywhere and nowhere, she leaps up, dragging forth wings out of waves, dancing on the swells, whirls and rises and falls, crashing water, shining scales… You will never see her. Be grateful for a quiet life. ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet / About 10 hours. Dragonlings slightly easier to see in the WIP but more have been added since. Have you seen them? / Lineart This was one of my longest and I enjoyed it a lot, and learnt a lot, and …well, there’s a part of my head still rushing around in the waves there
